Japan's Tangible Cultural Property “Hon-Tanaka-Ke"

The nearest station is Hamamura station of JR Sanin Main Line. You will need to take a bus bound for Shikano from Hamamura station and get off at the Shikano-Cho-Sogo-Shishomae. Please be careful because it takes about an hour by walking from Hamamura station. The bedding is single size futon. There are air conditioner, hair dryer, flashlight and hanger in guest room. You can use kitchen, watch TV at a common room and use free Wi-fi . The landscape of castle town in Shikano remains. The space Hon-Tanaka-Ke was built during the Bunkyu period (1861-1863). This house is representative of the Shikano area, and was listed in Japan’s Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2017. You can feel nostalgic atmosphere because there are retro furniture in this tasteful house. Also there are onsens, or hot springs, near this guesthouse.
