Kirkgate Cottage is a fully licensed (FI 00077 F) pretty and quirky traditional fisherman's cottage . It been refurbished to create a beautiful, modern home. It's situated in the heart of the village of Pittenweem a few minutes stroll from the working harbour. The space Squirrel yourselves away in this romantic cosy cottage for two near the busy working harbour, with wood-burner, beautiful bedroom and roll top bath. A small traditional cottage in a quaint fishing village, a short walk from the bustling harbour. Stone steps take you from the higgledy-piggledy street up to the front door (entry is by key safe), a main hall and a sitting room, stylish and cosy with a wood-burner and two extra-wide, pretty armchairs. All mod cons are here, from iPod docks to laptop, Sky and flat-screen TV. Cooks will be happy in the well-equipped kitchen – not huge but well planned, with a folding table and two chairs. Downstairs find a lovely big bedroom with a beamed ceiling, wall-mounted TV, low window and beautifully dressed bed; a roll top on a slate plinth here provides splashy fun for the uninhibited, while more modest souls will find a separate bathroom with a large walk-in shower (and a sound system!). The door to the courtyard is on this level and there are chairs to sit out on. Pittenweem has village shops and an art festival in August, you are on the Fife coastal path, and St Andrews, with its lovely long beach, is near. But this is a smart bolthole for two and you may just want to snuggle up and stay put. Wood not supplied, but can be picked up at most garages. Other things to note We welcome small well behaved dogs and charge £10 per dog per stay. Payable at the cottage if not online. Wood for the stove can be picked up at most garages along with kindling amd fire lighters.
