Tiny House in Montpelier (close to centre)
Description
One of the UK's first tiny houses, Casita Paraiso is perfect for a deep, uninterrupted sleep. Designed by sculptor/architect Miguel Humbert, it is a romantic little hideaway. Music venues, cafes, etc. are nearby, with the City Farm. It is very central, perfect for exploring all that Bristol has to offer, train 5 minutes away, national coach and busses a 15minute walk down Stokes Croft. We are in the heart of cosmopolitan Montpelier- voted the 'hippest' neighbourhood in UK regularly. The space Casita provides a perfect space to relax and unwind, whether you're here for work or play. It's a sun-trap, south-facing, with a tall rosebush for shade on the wooden decking and seating. You will need to mount the curved, hand built stairs, to the cozy king sized bed above. Its porthole window comes from the Bristol docks, and some of the design is slightly Rudolf Steiner-ish. It was my son's space for many years, well out of sight and sound of mama for his overnight guests..... The main house has been our family home for over 35 years, so we are well equipped for many things, and events. Our king-sized first floor bedroom was the home of Bristol's first ever salsa and lambada dance studio in 1991.. Guest access THE BATHROOM IS IN MAIN HOUSE, NOT CHALET :) Access is through the large four-story Victorian house, with its its long back room kitchen available for you to use for light meals. The half-landing bathroom is used by two of us in the house plus yourselves. If occupied there is a toilet on the top floor. WIFI works only in the house. Other things to note In the Casita there's a sink, electricity, and for ventilation in the hot weather there's a fan and a swing wall/door that opens out with a hand built drop leaf bench for more seating, and entertaining. It has steps leading from the garden up to the chalet. Joint dates are filling up, so best to book soon. As part of fresh air hygiene and energy saving, we have started hanging laundry on the sunny back, still with plenty space enough for you to sit out on the decking. There’s tea and coffee in the family shared kitchen. Please note that the bathroom is in the main house. The wifi works in the kitchen and back room, not outside in the chalet or garden. PLEASE make sure you read the full postcode starting BS6, not BS5, because there are two other streets by the same name in Bristol
