The Cabin is private, with it's own garden space, looking across the fields on the smallholding. It is most suitable for 2 adults as it's a ‘TINY HOUSE’! If you have a baby or young child we can accommodate them, but please message me as there may be an extra fee. There is a double bed, and a small double sofa bed. (If you need a BIT MORE SPACE, have children or dogs, or the dates you require are booked in the Cabin, take a look at our other AirBNB, a converted Barn. Scroll down to 'Meet your host', click on my profile photo, and scroll down to the link to 'UNIQUE BARN'.) The Cabin sitting room looks out onto the decking, across the valley to the wonderful views. We now have a telescope to take a closer look at the views and enjoy the dark night skies. The kitchen is fully equipped, with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle, cups, plates, cutlery and pots n pans. The bathroom is compact with a toilet, basin and a 90cm x 90cm shower, but anyone SUPER TALL or LARGE will find it a squeeze! It can now be used whatever the weather all year. Light up the Fire-Pit or just use the hut as a place to sit outside and relax. We provide a bucket of logs, some kindling and firelighters to get you started! A HIGHLAND COW EXPERIENCE is available exclusively for guests only, to book on arrival. In the afternoon, usually around 5 or 6pm during your stay. £10 each. Meet our lovable Highlands, with their gentle characters, feed them treats, groom them and snap selfies! We also have horses, chickens (next to the Cabin), cats that might visit you, and 'Luna' the Labrador and 'Bean' the Collie. It's a good idea to bring some wellies as it can be muddy on the farm. 'Bluehill Cabin' sits at the foot of a group of tall pine trees, where the old Pig Shed use to be, and has uninterrupted stunning views across the Ceredigion hills. It is a contemporary space that has everything you will need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, and every window looks out to the view. Guests visit for all sorts of reasons...a Birthday, an Anniversary, a proposal, or just to get away from it all! I illustrate onto Welsh Slate from our barn roof. Slates no longer suitable for roofing are recycled and given a new life! I also create art from driftwood, collected from our local beaches. A selection of my art is always on display and for sale in the Cabin, plus more of my art can be seen in my Art Studio on the farm. Depending on the time of year, we make hay and haylage on the farm, and the cabin has a front seat view of the activities! Guest access The drive for the Cabin goes straight up to the door. The car is parked at the back of the cabin, and there is garden space at the front, side and a small wooded area at the back. There is a barn area that can provide a secure place for motorbikes. Other things to note The Cabin is set on a 16 acre smallholding. Sometimes we have to do farm work, tractors moving stuff etc during your stay, but we try to keep everything as peaceful as possible! We have Highland Cows and Horses. The free range chickens are next to the Cabin and are always fun to watch, and some very inquisitive cats so I’m sure they will visit you, and our 2 crazy dogs, Luna & Bean! A Highland Cow experience can be arranged on arrival, meet & greet, feed & groom Heidi & Isabella, and say 'Hello' to their calves, Cerys & Dorothy. There is an insta page: the_farm_on_the_hill, which is a photo diary, so you get to see more about the location and our life on the farm. Take a look! The location is rural. Due to the rural location we have dark skies, great for stargazing, and when there is no wind in the trees, it can be silent with just the sound of the birds...and a few sheep! If you would like to meet the horses or highland cows, bring your wellies as it can be muddy! We have barns that can lock away any motorbikes or bicycles while you are here.
