Charming & Tranquil Gower Retreat - 3 Cliffs Bay

Escape to the Gower Peninsula and discover our charming timber-framed cottage. Set in a private garden with stunning views over the Parkmill valley. Just a short walk from the renowned Wales Coastal Path, Three Cliffs Bay & Pennard Castle, it's the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking beauty of this designated area of outstanding natural beauty and as a base to relax, unwind, spend time with loved ones and escape the busyness of life. The space You will feel right at home with all the modern amenities you could need for a comfortable and peaceful break. Kitchen: The small but well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing delicious meals for your family. Additionally, the Cadac portable gas outdoor cooker is available for outdoor cooking, including bbqs and making dishes like paella, and risotto. Living room: A comfortable size and features a cosy log burner, perfect for warming up after a day of adventure. With two sofas, including a sofa bed, and an armchair, it's the ideal place to unwind and relax. There is also a dining table available for meals together. French doors open onto the large decking area, where you can soak up the stunning sunsets. Bedrooms: The property features two cosy bedrooms. The larger one has two single beds. The other one has a double bed, but is quite small. The bedrooms comfortably sleep up to four guests. Bed linen is provided. Bathroom: The modern bathroom has a shower, and bath towels are provided. In addition, the property has its own washing machine and dryer, located in the shed. No beach towels are provided and bath towels are not to be taken to the beach. Garden room: Available on request from May to September, for an additional cost (provided on request) - to provide additional sleeping accommodation. Double sofa-bed, sleeping platform with double mattress, ensuite bathroom with shower, area with fridge, sink and kettle. Has it's own deck with table and chairs. Photos are under Theme Room heading. Outdoor Space: The property features a large, private garden and a back wooden balcony where you can sit and enjoy your meals while taking in the beautiful view. There is also a comfortable seating area and a dining table on the deck. The covered verandah at the front of the property provides additional seating, perfect for wet days. Pet-Friendly: We allow well-behaved dogs with prior arrangement, so you can enjoy your holiday with your four-legged friends. Location: Nestled into Sandylane on Gower, just a 15-20 minute walk away from the prestigious Three Cliffs Bay and a 10 minute stroll from the legendary Pennard Castle. The charming community of Sandylane offers a peaceful retreat for travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. However, it's off-the-beaten-track location means that visitors will need to take their time driving down the dirt track and it is not suitable for low vehicles. Parkmill, Pennard and Southgate are all within walking distance, offering a delightful range of amenities, including a wonderful artisan bakery, lovely cafes, a local pub, and shops selling an array of essentials and scrumptious local produce. For families with young children, the Gower Heritage Centre is a must-visit attraction, while beach lovers will be spoiled for choice with the numerous stunning beaches in the vicinity. There are also plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and scenic walks in this beautiful part of the world. Guest access Guests will have full access to the chalet and garden. Guests will not be sharing with anyone else. There is a key safe where you will collect your key, so an easy check in. Other things to note Please note that the road leading up to the property is an unmade dirt track, so guests will need to drive slowly and carefully. Parking is available outside the property with space for two cars. Additionally, there are no street lights here so guests may want to bring a torch for added visibility, but it also provides a great opportunity for stargazing. We kindly request that guests respect the peaceful community and we are not suitable for hen/stag parties. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay in the property with prior arrangement. However, guests will need to bring their own dog beds, towels, and bowls. Additionally, we kindly ask that guests clean up and dispose of any dog mess at the nearest dog waste bin, which is located near the entrance of Sandylane. Please note that there is a charge of £20 per stay for bringing dogs, which covers the additional cleaning required after they leave. Damages (eg chewing furniture) will be charged.
