17th Century Riddle’s Court Retreat, Royal Mile

This beautifully atmospheric and wonderfully located apartment will set visitors' hearts racing. Set in a historic close at the top of the world-famous Royal Mile, this apartment offers guests a wonderful insight into Edinburgh's Old Town, whilst not scrimping on modern comforts. We strongly recommend you do not bring a car as there is no parking nearby and you are central to everything the Old Town has to offer. The space The apartment is a duplex and on the second floor. Please note - there is no lift. There are some stairs to climb so this apartment might not be suitable for people with mobility issues. It has been recently refurbished. On the ground floor, you will find a well-equipped modern kitchen overlooking the courtyard with a hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, washing machine and a small table with 4 x chairs. The bright and airy bathroom has a bath, shower, sink, and toilet. The elegant lounge looks over the Royal Mile, yet it is made lovely and peaceful due to the secondary glazing. On the second floor, you will find two large bedrooms, both with king-size beds. Bedroom one looks over the hustle and bustle of the Royal Mile, and has lots of storage space, a desk and a window seat for watching the world go by. Please note: the secondary glazing is good for blocking sound, but there is some noise from below. Bedroom two looks out to Riddles Court, a step back in time! Both bedrooms are cozy and traditional. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire property. Check-in is available between 4 pm and 10 pm Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate arrivals outside of these hours. Check-out is at 10 am. PARKING RESTRICTIONS The City of Edinburgh Council has introduced Sunday parking charges in Zones 1 to 4. If you intend to drive into the City Centre and park, please be vigilant and check the rules and pricing strategy before you park. Evergreen Property will not be held liable for any parking charges incurred. Other areas of the city may offer free on-street parking or Monday to Friday - please check the local signs on the street. TOILETRY TRAVEL ESSENTIALS: While we strive to supply hand soap, shampoo, and other essentials in each property, availability may vary. If you have preferred brands, we recommend bringing your own. The bathroom will be stocked with two rolls of toilet paper for your stay, regardless of duration. Additional supplies beyond this initial provision should be purchased by guests. TAP WATER Edinburgh tap water is safe to drink. There is no need to buy bottled if you do not wish to.
