The space The first day: So that you can feel comfortable on the first day, we have already provided the essentials for you. The beds are made, towels and hand soap, toilet paper, dish soap, garbage bags are prepared. Coffee and tea supplies should already convey some coziness before the first big shopping trip. With the information about the city, you can familiarize yourself a bit with the surroundings. The following days: Now you are on your own. Of course, we are happy to help you find the nearest supermarket, best cafes, etc. We also wash the sheets and towels for you and provide you with fresh ones. All other things such as emptying garbage, vacuuming, washing dishes, replacing toilet paper, soap, etc. are your responsibility. The day of departure: In order for us to prepare the apartment for the following guests, it is important that you vacate it by approx. 2 p.m. We would also like to ask you to leave the apartment in the same condition as you found it. Dusting, vacuuming and floor mopping are now our job again. Other things to note The apartment is located in downtown Braunschweig in a green oasis directly at the foot of the Oker. Features: The apartment is the former "Plättstube" of a stately house built in 1890, which was placed directly on the vaults of one of the medieval defensive towers of Braunschweig. Like many Braunschweig houses, this one has also fallen victim to the customs of the 1960s construction site. The original room height of the Plättstube was reduced from 2.70 m to approx. 2.10 m by filling and the beautiful half-timbered house was clad with a panel facade. Nevertheless: the apartment was completely renovated in 2015 and 2024, now has a cozy atmosphere due to the low room height and offers a magnificent view of the countryside. From autumn to spring, you also have a direct view of the southeastern flood ditch of the Oker. In summer, the view is replaced by the then sprouting and flowering bushes and trees. Since June 2020, the apartment has its own access point, which is connected to a cable gigabit connection. Download speeds between 300 and 900 Mbps are possible via Wi-Fi. Restrictions: Tall people should pay attention to the peculiarity of the room height described above. The path from the mini kitchen to the bathroom is separated by a small hallway of about 2 square meters (see also photo). This also leads to the bicycle room and is rarely used during the day by residents of the other apartments in the house. The bathroom and apartment are yours alone and can of course be locked. You can of course use the bicycle room for your bicycle. We will officially receive you on the day of arrival from 6:00 pm. You can take your time until 2 pm on the day of departure. On certain days, you can also check in much earlier. This can best be clarified by phone.
