Description

Located in the Upper Canyon Neighborhood, it is 1.5 miles to restaurants and galleries on Canyon Rd. Both the home and guest house have been beautifully restored with custom woodwork. The home has 3 bedrooms, a modern kitchen with an open ceiling, and French doors opening to garden areas. The space The home and casita were built from stone and adobe in the late 18th century and in the 1920s. Both were recently remodeled using a fusion of Japanese and Southwest styles. The main home includes: • 3 bedrooms: 1 upstairs with queen bed and views of the valley and hills; 1 upstairs queen bed with shoji doors and beautiful views; 1 ground floor with queen bed and French doors opening to the rear garden. Both have amenities including shampoo, conditioner, soap, towels, etc. • Kitchen: large and open with fireplace and a central island with granite counters, Viking range and oven, dishwasher, and full fridge. All new white Scandinavian plates, bowls, utensils, and knives. Guest access The property is located along the hills of the Santa Fe River Valley and consequently there are stairs leading to the main house (22 steps) and to the lower back yard areas. The stairs in the house and to the backyard are a bit steep. Also the the stairs and loft ladder in the guest house are narrow and steep. Ascending and descending the stairs in the guest house could be challenging for children and older adults. It is not recommended for children less than six years or for older adults with balance difficulties or other health problems that would make climbing stairs difficult. Other things to note Our home is located in the Santa Fe River Valley, and although it is only 1.5 miles from Canyon Road galleries and restaurants, it has a very rural feel. The home is about a $5-7 Uber ride to the Plaza. Our compound is fantastic for larger or extended families as well as groups of friends coming together. It also is great for travelers wanting to stay in a peaceful place near the mountains but still close to Canyon Road and the Plaza. We have high speed fiber internet in both the main and guest houses (speed 300Mbps). The cell phone coverage, unfortunately, in the valley and at our home is often limited or not available, and it is dependent on your cellphone company. We do have phone lines with an Ooma phone, which can make local and national calls. As noted in the Guest Access section, the stairs to the lower room and the ladder to the loft in the guest house are narrow and steep. Ascending and descending the stairs in the guest house could be challenging for children and older adults. It is not recommended for children less than six years or for older adults with balance difficulties or other health problems that would make climbing stairs difficult. Registration Details 155552
