And family, no matter how big, because we have the capacity for that The space Pikatzaenea is a typical example of traditional Basque architecture, and more specifically of the region of Las Encartaciones. It is a stately mansion from the with 160 m2 of floor space and three floors, fully modernized and rehabilitated, which we have chosen to divide into two attic apartments and five double studios, plus a common area on the ground floor. We have a large garden area with outdoor furniture and barbecue, a play area with a slide and swing for the little ones, and even a tree house! We also have a rustic mini-golf course for the older ones to play (we have clubs and balls to lend). Pikatzaenea also thinks about your rest, and for this it has comfortable hammocks-loungers and parasols. And of course, a parking area, where you can leave the car and "forget" about it. The total capacity of the house is eighteen places. The apartments and/or studios can be rented individually, or the entire house can be occupied, which entitles you to the use of the common kitchen located on the ground floor. But Pikatzaenea is much more than a refuge for walkers and mushroom seekers. Our strategic location, in the region of Las Encartaciones, just 30 minutes from downtown Bilbao, 60 from Vitoria-Gasteiz and just over 90 from San Sebastián-Donostia, makes us the ideal "base camp" from which to schedule various visits and excursions throughout the Basque Country: the Guggenheim Museum, the Portugalete suspension bridge, the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, the historic center of Vitoria-Gasteiz, etc. And that's without mentioning the many tourist attractions of LasEncartaciones, a region with a lot of history and a lot to see in a very small space: medieval cities, caves, zoos and interpretation parks... Apartments The top floor is divided into two attic apartments of 45 m2 each. You can see the layout in the attached plan. The layout includes a large bedroom equipped with two 90 cm single beds, a full bathroom, a living-dining room equipped with a sofa convertible into two 90 cm single beds, a television and central heating with a thermostat independent of the rest of the house for greater comfort. Each apartment has a practical kitchenette that can be used by guests who have not rented the entire house, and therefore do not have access to the common kitchen. Studios The house has five double studios, all equipped with a full bathroom, closet, kitchenette (ideal for breakfast or a light dinner) and a small retractable table. All rooms have a TV and a central and independent thermostat. The first of these studios, located on the ground floor, is fully adapted for use by the disabled or people with reduced mobility. It has an area of 15.5 m2, and is equipped with two 90 cm beds. It has easy access to all common areas and the outside of the house. Studios 2, 3, 4 and 5 are located on the first floor, and have an area of 15.5 m2. Studios 2 and 5 have two single beds of 90 each, while studios 3 and 4 have a double bed of 1.50 m.
