Come Enjoy the Peace, Serenity, and Expansive Beauty at the Jemez Canyon View Retreat in the heart of the Village of Jemez Springs. The Jemez Canyon View Retreat house offers 1 bedroom with bath en-suite, a fully equipped kitchen open to a large living space and is packed with many extras, including beautiful works of art both local and from other parts of the country, including hand crafted wood carvings. The space The open kitchen w/sky light and window views out to the mesa, also has a kitchen bar, complete with stools for a morning cup of coffee or day trip planning. The kitchen is fully equipped with beautiful serving dishes, flatware and everything a cook requires. The pantry has a large selection of coffee and teas, with sugar and many seasonings and paper goods (plastic wrap, foil, zip lock bags, trash bags, etc.) The kitchen has a country style table and chairs with views that look up to the west canyon walls and Virgin Mesa. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer off the kitchen (complete with laundry products). The house is equipped with full house air-conditioning and heating to keep you cool in the warmer months and toasty warm in the winter. The master bedroom has a King bed, a walk in closet, and its own private bath with double sinks, and beautiful views of the valley facing south. The living room has a cozy, artful seating area with a 49” Smart TV (with lots of movie channels). And views looking east and north out to Cat Mesa. Enjoy watching the sunrise, the sunset, and great stargazing from both front and back decks. Guest access Guests will have use of the entire house and front and back decks. It is a short walk into the village to restaurants, Galleries, Hot Springs, and access to trails on Virgin Mesa. The house is an easy drive north to more hiking and fishing and the beautiful Valles Caldera National Preserve, Las Conchas trail, Battleship Rock trails, McCauley Hot Springs, and on up to Bandelier National Monument, and the Los Alamos museums and galleries, and more. Or drive south on Highway 4 to the Ponderosa Winery and to the famous Gilman tunnels. Other things to note If you are looking for a retreat like atmosphere, this is the place. The house is tucked away in a sweet little nook up on a hill, at the base of Virgin Mesa. It has amazing views in all directions both night and day. The Milky Way is often very easy to see from the house as it is away from the ambient lights of the village. It is a quiet little get away! Sorry we do not accept any pets or children under the age of 10. Thank you!
