Description of the place Lu Bagnu is a lively hamlet of Castelsardo. Its long golden beach overlooks the Gulf of Asinara, the crystal clear waters that lap it take on delicate emerald shades, offering an unforgettable spectacle. The coastal road connects it to Castelsardo, offering a picturesque glimpse of the small port of Frigiano, which houses both local fishermen's boats and pleasure boats. The fortress of Castelsardo, built in 1102 by the Doria family, is located on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea. Its walls enclose an ancient medieval village. Don't miss the path along the walls that reaches the drawbridge. The village is a maze of alleys overlooked by old women sitting in front of their doorsteps, intent on weaving dwarf palm leaves to make baskets, which are the pride of Castelsardo's craftsmanship. A Weaving Museum has been set up inside the castle. The ancient Cathedral houses a 15th-century altarpiece attributed to the Master of Castelsardo. During the year there are numerous events that animate the town, from theatrical performances, to exhibitions, to concerts. You can immerse yourself in nature by following hiking and mountain biking trails along the coast near Baia Ostina and Mount Ossoni: intoxicating scents and views.
