Description
Our house is a unique house overlooking Coulagh Bay, with stunning views to the sea. The garden is a lovely relaxing place as well as a great hide and seek venue, not on the road, but an easy 10 minute walk to the village, with a well stocked small supermarket, petrol, postoffice, bistro, tea room in season, 2 pubs. It is a cosy traditional house which is well equipped to accommodate families and young children. The beds are all very comfortable, some with views to the sea. Everyone loves it. The space Shore cottage has been built around a stone built farmhouse from the 19C. The walls are two feet thick and the open joisted ceilings on the ground floor, and slanted ceiling on the first floor, create a very evocative space. The new parts of the building have been built to fill with light and give scope to the stunning scenery outside. With two double bedrooms upstairs and potentially two downstairs, shore cottage is very flexible. It is a comfortable space to share for families that like to holiday together or extended families. There are four downstairs living spaces, the dining room, the office, the cosy living room and the old studio. The old studio is a flexible space as it can be used as a second living room, a children’s playroom, a space for daily yoga exercise. It can also be used as a bedroom as it has a single foldable z-bed. Guest access The whole house is available and the majority of the garden. The garden has an outdoor eating area, a children’s swing, a small orchard, and a place for campfires. Parts of the garden are fenced off and this is highlighted on a map in the house handbook. Other things to note As well as an electric cooker, the cottage kitchen is kept cosy by an oil fired range cooker. This heats the house and is wonderful to cook on. If you want a holiday where you take time to bake and cook the range is wonderful for this. Once at Shore Cottage, PLEASE NOTE: Electricity and heating oil is metered and must be paid for at cost price on departure. We charge in this way to be fair to all guests, we only charge guests for electricity and oil used.
