What guests ❤️: 1) Walking out the front door to the new Silver Lake trail for tennis/pickle ball, picnic tables and grills, 2 fishing piers & 3 playgrounds 2) Summer car shows, year round auctions, Mac’s Dinette, Luv’s candy store 3) The Gateway Trail - 18 mi. passing through N. St. Paul, and on to Stillwater’s restaurants, shops, trolley tours, riverboat cruises & hot air balloon rides 4) Being so close to the Twin Cities, MSP Airport, pro sports, Mall America, fairs & festivals 1st Floor: Kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom with tub/shower, and bedroom with double bed, walk-in closet, desk and chair. Front Porch with view of Silver Lake and park across the street. 2nd Floor: Two bedrooms with double beds, full size closets, desks and chairs. Full bathroom with shower. * I travel about 50% of the time. When I am in MN I stay in my office/apt in the basement level. Our areas are locked and separate from each other. The only area we share is the back porch and mud room. You alone have access to the 1st and 2nd floors. First floor includes a front porch, coat closet, living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet. Second floor includes two bedrooms and one bathroom. Your private parking space is at the back of the house - between the yellow garage and the yellow home where you’ll be staying. There is 1 parking space for your car and 1 for mine. * When I travel to MN I stay in my office apartment in the basement level and we share the back porch and mud room. The entire home area, where you will be, is a separate living area with with its own private locked entrance off the mud room. ** I share my driveway with my neighbors, so if you park at the back of the house, park only on my cement pad, not on the gravel. Also, please turn your car around on the parking pad and back into your parking spot. This way you can see straight ahead when you leave. Be especially careful of cars, children, etc., when you drive out. * I travel 50% of the time and stay in the basement office when I am not traveling. If I am not physically present I am available by phone or email through the Airbnb site. SILVER LAKE BEACH & PARKS Walk out your front door, look to your right and you’ll see Silver Lake Beach and Silver Lake Park. Walk about 1-2 blocks to the tennis/pickle ball courts, a small playground, and the beach. Another block or two brings you to a fishing pier, many picnic tables and grills, and a covered picnic area you can reserve. At the end of this trail is a playground. Or you can walk out your door and go to your left to find another park, Dorothy Park, as well as another fishing pier at the end of the trail. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: There is a bus stop 3 blocks from your front door that takes you to St. Paul and Mpls, as well as to the light rail system. MN GATEWAY TRAiL: The Gateway Trail is one mile from your home and is a National Recreational Trail for walking, running, skating and biking. Go west on the trail to St. Paul, Mpls and the Mississippi River. Or go east through countryside to Stillwater and the St. Croix River. BY CAR: By car, your home is only 10 minutes to St Paul and 20 minutes to Minneapolis. North St Paul business district: faster by car, but is also an easy one-mile walk or bike ride. Going out of North St. Paul: 1) You’re only mile from Interstate 694 which goes into and around St.Paul and Minneapolis. 2) You’re also only one mile to State Highway 120. Go north on 120 to White Bear Lake or south to Woodbury. 3) You’re two miles from Highway 61. Go north on 61 through the city of White Bear Lake, or go further north for a four hour drive to Duluth and Lake Superior. 4) You’re one mile to Highway 36: Go east on 36 to Stillwater and the scenic St Croix River, or go west to St. Paul and Minneapolis. 5) You’re only four blocks to the bus stop: Ride the bus to downtown St Paul and on to the Twin Cities light rail system to travel through more of St Paul and on to Minneapolis. What is really unique about your home is the quiet home-town feel of this quiet lake town. A Dairy Queen is within one mile. Newman’s Bar and Grill, the oldest bar in MN, is on 7th Avenue, our main street, and has local entertainment frequently. Also on 7th Ave is a wonderful ice cream/candy shop (Luv’s) that serves dairy and non dairy ice cream and candy. Main Street also includes antique stores and our local diner, Mac’s. A gas station with groceries is within a mile. Target is about one and a half miles. Cub and Hy-Vee grocery stores are about 2 miles. Our summer Friday night car shows on 7th Ave bring cars from all over MN and other states too. It addition to the cars, you’ll find entertainment and food/drink of all kinds.
