Description

Medieval house spread over 4 levels, built in the classic medieval style. It is about 500 years old and is located in a picturesque village, in the Apennine mountains of Tuscany. It is furnished with period furniture and is in a classic rustic style. Close to the major cities, such as Firenze, 70 km. far away, Bologna 90 km., Lucca 25 km., and Pisa 40 km. The space The house is located on a quiet narrow road in Vico Pancellorum, a tiny medieval village. On the main road you find a green area situated on the edge of a walnut and chestnut forest where you can explore the many trekking and fishing. Unfortunately hunting activities are forbidden by law. The house is decorated in rustic style, which is common in the area. Old original furniture embellishes the house, kept in the local style. The wall is build by the natural stone, providing the atmosphere of great ancient space. During winter time, the guest enjoys the warm atmosphere of a two stone firewalls and the ceramic heather, plus one powerful split, which provides warm and cold air. The night area is provided by two splits for cold and warm air. In one mbedroom an additional ceramic heater. At the main entrance there is a stone decorated lintel. The kitchen is an open to the living room. It is well furnished. The cellars provide the necessary space to store your luggage and the wood for the winter. The place is quite well known for the ancient history, which made it very attractive. You can discover the museum at the church and simply run errand and look over your eyes. Signs of history are all over the village. Nevertheless you enjoy the good food at the restaurant down the hill, Buca di Baldabo'. The owners delight their guest with home made food and fantastic cakes too. The atmosphere is friendly and the guests have an unforgettable gourmet experience. The village is also well known for the trekking at Balzo Nero, the highest mountain there. Several other paths allow the guests to discover the environmental beauty of the chestnut and spruce forest. Close to the house a natural spring refreshes the "spirits" in the warm summer. Guest access Guests have access in all over the house. No restrictions. Other things to note Trekking and hiking activities are very common here in the area, but also cultural activities. Worth a visit to the village museum.
