The birthplace of claret, San Asensio has many family wineries, three cooperative wineries and a wonderful landscape of vineyards with numerous routes for walking, cycling or horseback riding. There is an equestrian center and municipal swimming pools. The space It has all the comforts of a modern home and a patio to rest and enjoy the sun and a picnic area with a barbecue and kitchen to enjoy the local cuisine. Fully equipped kitchen. The entire house is rented. Parking is available nearby as it is a small town. Guest access It's an entire house for rent, so there are no shared areas. Other things to note There are several shops in the village: supermarket, bakery, fishmonger, pharmacy, hardware store, butcher shop and tobacconist. It also has restaurants such as Casa Marisa, La Bodega, El Botero or Trinquete bar restaurant, as well as several bars with pinchos and tapas. Notable monuments are the Church of the Ascension, Monastery of the Star, sculpture of the grape of Agustin Ibarrola, Wine Sensory Center, Davalillo Castle, and several emblazoned houses. There are family and cooperative wineries that can be visited and even hold wine events. Near Briones, (a member of the Most Beautiful Villages in Spain) is the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture, the city of Nájera, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Navarra and the famous headquarters of furniture factories or Haro, the wine capital of Rioja. In all these places there are numerous restaurants, wineries and very nice bar areas where you can eat and drink a good Rioja. Half an hour away by car is our capital Logroño or Laguardia in La Rioja Alavesa, Ezcaray or Sajazarra, also one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. You can also visit the monastery of San Millán de la Cogolla, the birthplace of Castilian and a World Heritage Site, and the monastery of Valvanera, patron saint of La Rioja.
