Set on a beautiful tree-lined street, this mid-century modern studio features original artwork, a gas fireplace, and exposed brick & beams. It feels bright and spacious, yet cozy. Take the skytrain downtown. Go for a walk or yoga session at nearby Trout Lake. Enjoy the eclectic array of shops, cafes, and restaurants on “The Drive.” This is an excellent location for exploring vibrant Vancouver and settling into an authentic neighbourhood experience. The space This open plan studio has a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, toaster, portable cooktop, microwave, kettle, and a variety of coffee making devices including a percolator, French press, and drip machine! You have your own washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board, and Netflix on the 50" wall mounted TV. There is a laptop friendly workstation with lots of electrical outlets to charge all of your electronic devices, and of course there is WIFI! The bathroom is new, clean, and bright with dual rain shower heads and Turkish cotton towels. Finally, the queen size bed has a memory foam mattress and organic cotton linens. The Yellow Door Apartment is located in a renovated 1930's home. Our street boasts an impressive stretch of mature Elm trees, making it one of East Vancouver’s most dramatic high canopy streetscapes. Guest access The Yellow Door Apartment is a private suite with a digital code for self check-in. Other things to note We live upstairs with our two adult children, a cat, and a dog. We’re pretty quiet, but you may hear us walking around above you or out on the back deck. During the week, we're up around 7AM, in bed by 10PM, and away most of the day at school or work. Although very friendly, our Goldendoodle, Ziggy, is big with a loud bark. He is occasionally in our backyard which is completely fenced off from the entrance to your private suite. You may hear him, but you need not fear him. Our cat, Oscar, is more shady! Yellow Door Apartment is highly suitable for professionals visiting the city for work. The setting is quiet and private, yet close to public transport and the city. We are in an ideal location for visiting sites around the city, with easy access to downtown and to Hwy 1 for commuting to Whistler and the North Shore mountains.
