The cottage is built for a couple to enjoy peace and relaxing comfort in the countryside. Play a little golf - putting green at your door; wander our rambling gardens and rolling countryside. Say hello to the friendly chickens, horses and sheep. A delightful retreat with full kitchen to create your gourmet feasts. Enjoy the comfy bed, cosy winter fireside reading or AC summer cooling, courtyard with views. A picturesque 15 minute drive to the restaurants of Greytown, Martinborough and Carterton. The space Much of the furniture is bespoke. Enjoy breakfast out in the courtyard with freshly laid eggs from our freerange hens (if they are feeling generous!). Over the years we have been planting trees - lots of trees - if you would like to help us in our gradual re-afforestation you can help plant some of our home grown natives or purchase a good quality eco-sourced native from Norfolk Road nursery - we would be delighted to plant it for you! Guest access Putting green, orchards, garden - often with produce you can sample, private regenerating bush and wetland walks, paddocks with sheep and friendly (usually!) horses. The putting green ( this is not to professional standards!) is literally on your doorstep and is available (depending on ground conditions) for you to practice your short game, You can book a private short game lesson with Jeremy, an ex New Zealand representative golfer. Other things to note We do not charge a cleaning fee as we believe in people leaving places clean and tidy 😊. We are happy to deal with your food scraps and compostable waste - we kindly request that you take your rubbish and recycling with you as being rural we do not have these kerbside services. Thankyou! Suitable for couples only Bring sensible shoes or gumboots if you would like to explore the valley. If the chooks are laying we supply eggs and we always supply delicious Boring oat milk so if you prefer other varieties of milk please bring your own.
