Offering seclusion, peace and stunning river views, the 4 bedroom self-catering Lodge is an indulgent riverside retreat. Overlooking the river with swimming holes, beach access and kayaks, this secluded sanctuary is the ultimate base for families or a couple wishing to relax and explore the Bay of Islands. The space The Lodge offers flexibility and can be configured for up to 8 guests using 2 additional king bedrooms. The price listed is based on up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms, so do let us know if you are interested in booking for a larger group as the price will change accordingly. Guests at The Lodge have access to a wonderful range of amenities including free kayaks, canoes and fishing rods in our private Boatshed, a beautiful riverfront and 5 acre sub-tropical gardens to wander and explore; our 150 acre organic farm with tranquil walks along the river bank, through pastures and native bush to secluded swimming and picnic spots, and magical glow worms; and last but not least, the beautiful deserted sandy beaches a short paddle downstream at Takou Bay. Relaxing and rejuvenating massage and spa treatments and our magical riverside Hot Tub are also available to book. Guest access In addition to your own secluded riverfront Lodge, guests have access to all the amenities at Takou River including our beautiful 5 acre sub-tropical gardens to wander and explore; the tranquil Takou River to swim, fish, paddle and discover; our private boathouse and jetty with kayaks, canoes and fishing rods to borrow at your leisure; our 150 acre organic farm with walks along the river, through pastures and native bush to secluded swimming and picnic spots, glow worms and last but not least, the deserted sandy beaches a short paddle downstream at Takou Bay. The tariff includes free Starlink WiFi, beautiful linen, fresh flowers, books and magazines, hand made toiletries, gas for the bbq, and free use of the kayaks, canoes and fishing rods.
