Family Cottage: West Alvington

Character Cottage, extended to rear with south-facing large garden. 10 min walk to Kingsbridge 10 minutes drive to Salcombe, Hope Cove, Thurlestone, South Milton and Bantham etc... Log-burner fireplace in lounge with brand new 4K TV 3 Bedrooms (2 upstairs, one down) Full use of kitchen, TV, Wii U, Apple TV, wifi and south facing garden with: Brand new artificial grass play area; Pond; Dining Area; fire-pit and Gas BBQ The space This is our family (Matt, Lila and Jude... and Blackie the Cat and now Buddy the dog but he won’t stay) home and we love being here and we love the area. Open-plan kitchen and dining area with French doors to garden for eating and cooking together and option to eat and cook outside on the BBQ. Upstairs is the 2 children’s bedrooms and also the family bathroom. One bedroom is downstairs which has converted from the conservatory to maintain country cottage feel. NB: bed is 4foot double (small) so is snug. The room is behind the dining area and reached through storage room **This will be converted into en-suite bathroom for future. Although on the main Salcombe-Kingsbridge road, the back rooms especially - and garden - are tranquil and relaxing. The garden is my favourite ‘room’ of the house, when the weather is good and we do have a slightly favourable micro-climate in West Alvington. You can walk to Kingsbridge and easily access loads of areas easily with this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Having lived here nearly ten years, I think this is the best location to see the very best of the South Hams. We hope you have a lovely time, and stay in the South Hams and offer you a loved family home which although quirky and definitely still needs some work doing, is welcoming, homely and fun. Also have some potential access to kayaks, surf/bodyboards and SUP. Enquire for details. Guest access Whole house and garden as though it is your own. Other things to note PARKING Parking not always available but does mean great access to Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Parking around the corner in Lower St is available when not outside the house, and also the Village Hall car park and also the Village Car Park up the road opposite the Ring O Bells Pub. COTTAGE CAT Black the cat, the added friendly bonus will be in and around the house so please feed him (food provided) and give occasional strokes and nuzzles. SUP SURF KAYAK I set up a Community Interest Company to offer education support and training and qualifications to this who struggle/d at school, particularly those with additional needs and would welcome a donation to this cause for any use of equipment.
