A stunning 3 bed-roomed timber home with an open plan kitchen and living area, leading onto a large wooden deck on the water’s edge! The ultimate break away in the heart of the Garden Route, absolutely ideal for canoeing and hiking, close to beaches, the picturesque village of Wilderness and world class Golf courses. The space ON the Water is a freestanding timber home with private parking areas and entrance. It offers 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 – a bedroom with double bed downstairs, bedroom with two single beds upstairs and the huge main bedroom with queen size bed upstairs. There is a bathroom with a shower downstairs and a full family bathroom with large corner-bath and a shower upstairs. The main bedroom opens up unto a private deck with magnificent views over the river and mountains!The fully fitted kitchen flows to the living room with a huge flat screen Smart TV with full DSTV!!! Open the double doors onto the main deck which overhangs the river and to your outside braai (barbeque) area; light a fire and watch the display of King-fishers and other water-birds right in front of you! Guest access We have a lovely pool with a kiddies pool and jungle gym on the property. ON the Water is the perfect location from which to enjoy hiking, mountain biking, running, kloofing, canoeing, hang-gliding, paragliding, horse-riding, golf, leisurely scenic drives, sunset strolls along the beach, photography, or simply a sundowner on your deck. Other things to note Just outside Wilderness, two breathtaking viewing points, the ‘Map of Africa’ and ‘Dolphin Point’, offer magnificent views of the coastline. The Kaaimans River Bridge and Serpentine River viewpoint, on the way to Hoekwil, are two more photographic hotspots. Wilderness and surrounds are home to the Garden Route National Park, Ebb and Flow Camp Site, Woodville Big Tree, Malachite Bird Hide and Outeniqua Hiking Trail. Be sure to take the canoe- and hiking trip along the Touw River and through lush indigenous coastal forests to a waterfall cascading into a glorious rock-pool, the perfect swimming spot to end your hike! Or canoe all along the Touw and Serpentine rivers into Island Lake! Weekly markets include the award-winning Wild Oats Market in Sedgefield, the Outeniqua Farmers Market in George (both on Saturdays) and Milkwood Village evening market in Wilderness every Friday.
