Our Villa Cornelia is located in a fantastic valley, which is often explored by tourists by train, bicycle or jeep. The three apartments are well equipped and air-conditioned. Only three of the four apartments are offered for rent. So if you book all three apartments, you may well have the whole house to yourselves, because unfortunately we are very rarely there. Just pack your swimwear and go, because shopping is in the port and boutique town of Rethymno, which is 15 minutes from the house. The beach or the bay of Costa can be reached in 5 minutes by car. The location is particularly known for its good climate. Although close to tourism, you don't feel much of it here in the valley, nestled between the olive groves. We are located 900 meters from the village of Asteri. For safety, we will be happy to send you directions to our villa so that you know exactly how to get to us from Heraklion or Chania Airport. Transport connection: The Chania - Rethymno - Heraklion expressway is 2 km away, Heraklion Airport is approx. 55 minutes, to Chania Airport about 1 hour and 10 minutes and to the ferry port of Rethymno about 15 minutes. There is a bus connection to Rethymno, where there are cafes, taverns and various cultural facilities. The village of Asteri for small shopping is 900 meters away. The large supermarkets are 5 minutes away and a Lidl market is 10 minutes away. Facilities: Two apartments are accessible on the top floor via a separate house entrance directly from the parking lot. The third apartment is on the ground floor with a separate entrance. The 1-room apartment has a living/sleeping room for 2-3 people and two balconies. The 2-room apartment has a living/sleeping room and a separate bedroom for a total of 4-5 people/children and has a large balcony. The other 2-room apartment on the ground floor has a living/sleeping room with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom with a regular bed for a total of 2-3 people/children and has its own terrace with a pergola. All apartments are equipped with: Color TV (satellite connection) partly with DVD player Kitchen: incl. dishes, oven, electric stove, fridge, coffee maker and kettle Bathroom: shower / bathtub, hair dryer. Towel and linen change as well as cleaning is done once a week. Cleaning supplies, clothespins, dish towels, etc. are provided. Internet is available but weak. We are living in the mountains. 1,500 meters from the sea. It's enough for emails and chatting. Pool and garden: A shared large swimming pool is available. For the little ones there is a separate children's pool. A grill is available for barbecue evenings. The downstairs apartment has its own barbecue. For your safety: For your safety, we have stored the addresses and telephone numbers of the German-speaking family doctor on site. A hospital, dentists and we personally are at your disposal.
