Sweet Pea Cottage, Amroth, Pembrokeshire.

Tucked away in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park we have a very cosy, spacious stone cottage on our working smallholding. Adjacent to National Trust woodland and within easy walking distance to Colby Woodland Gardens and Amroth with its fabulous beach, village pubs, cafes and shop the cottage is perfect for beach goers, nature lovers and walkers. We welcome dogs! Do let us know if you are going to bring your furry friend with you. We also have a larger holiday cottage Sweet Pea Cottage. The space Sweet Pea Cottage is a new detached private cottage on our working smallholding close to our family home, Lower Pendeilo Farmhouse. The two bedroom cottage is ideal for couples or families up to five. The cottage, formally a converted wooden stable, has recently been completed. The cedar and larch framed cottage has been a labour of love for Dave, from the pegged handmade A-frames to the oak kitchen and carved acacia wood 'cheese' fridge handles. Definitely not an 'off the shelf' cottage, every part has been thoughtfully designed and created by us. With the environment at the forefront of the design we have incorporated as many sustainable materials as possible. We are now planning to power the whole property using renewable sources. Sweet Pea Cottage incorporates two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and an open plan modern lounge diner with wood burner and mood lighting to show off the exposed beams. The second bedroom can be configured to 2 or 3 single beds or a king size bed. The cottage is separate from our family home with plenty of parking space and its own private and spacious secluded patio and lawn area. Its elevated position benefits from plenty of sun and lovely views. The glazed patio doors ensure the interior is light and airy. After sun set you will hear tawny and barn owls in the woods and our dark skies allow spectacular stargazing and even the Northern Lights. DOGS (2 small or 1 medium) are welcome. Guests MUST inform us beforehand. Guest access Sweet Pea is a private cottage on our working smallholding within a short walk to our family home with its own parking (see aerial photos). Outside guests have their own patio with seating for their exclusive use. This overlooks a lawn area with stunning views across the valley to Colby Woodland. Our fields, woodland and wildlife pond surround the property. We do ask that guests respect that there is livestock and leave gates as you find them and keep dogs under close supervision at all times. A footpath from the cottage leads directly to Colby Woodland and the village of Amroth. Other things to note We welcome guests all year round. During school holidays we prefer week long (or longer) bookings. This fits in with our family life. However if you have any special requirements for your length of stay do get in touch. DOGS (2 small or 1 medium) are welcome however we ask that guests inform us beforehand. CHECK IN: 4pm onwards although this can be flexible depending on bookings. VISITORS: Gatherings are not permitted unless agreed by prior arrangement with us. ADDITIONAL GUESTS over and above 5 permitted guests (eg Campervan/tent) - strictly by prior arrangement only and will incur an additional fee.
