Sea and church views The space Cadaqués is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava. Unique for its orography and the picturesque character that has always characterized it. It has been visited by poets (García Lorca) and painters (Pablo Picasso) or film actors such as Kirk Douglas and Yul Brynner himself. It was also the home of the inventor of the submarine, Narcís Monturiol, during his exile. In addition, Cadaqués is close to several well-known places such as the Cap de Creus Natural Park, Els Aiguamolls de l'Empordà or the Empuriabrava aerodrome and canals. Currently, parking in the urban center of Cadaqués is very restricted; therefore, a house with parking like the one we offer is recommended. Otherwise, Portdoguer beach, the most characteristic of the town, is only a 2-minute walk away. Also nearby are some of the most emblematic restaurants and cafes, such as "El Barroco", historically frequented by a multitude of important people. From the location of the house you can take several hiking routes such as the GR 92, the Cap de Creus route or other shorter routes such as Cala Nans or Punta Prima. Many visitors opt for the Salvador Dalí house museum in Port Lligat (in the same municipality). You can't miss kayak excursions that leave from Port Lligat itself; as well as boat rentals (with or without a license), yachts or a simple scooter. To visit other places outside Cadaqués, we suggest the Aqua Brava water park (in the Bay of Roses), the Butterfly Park (a fully exotic space) of Castelló d'Empúries or the incomparable monumental complex of Sant Pere de Rodes, half monastery half fortress, where you can enjoy great views, while taking in the pleasant restaurant. The even more maritime facet is found in the dives prepared for travelers; they can do everything from a water baptism to boat trips or equipment rental. If, finally, you stay in Cadaqués, be sure to visit the Paratge de Tudela where, after a walk you will never forget, you can take a bath in one of the best-rated places for the people of Cadaqués. There, you'll find magnificent rocks swept away by the wind to end up in a selection of coves and caves. And the best thing is to let yourself be enchanted by the streets of the town and contemplate, day or night, the bucolic atmosphere of the village.
