The space Shepherds Hut and covered porch with access to private shower room and kitchen for food preparation. Seating area around fire pit set within private woodland glade. Guest access Woodland area around Shepherds hut. A short path leads from the parking area through the host’s garden to the guest’s accommodation. Once through the lower gate guests have access to their own enclosed Woodland glade, containing the Shepherd’s hut ,with gate onto the public footpath leading to the River Duddon (bring wellies!). The River Duddon runs across the edge of the farm, and you will have access to several "beaches" with some wonderful areas for outdoor swimming. There are ancient stepping stones, placed there many hundreds of years ago, these are in 2 shallower parts of the river making this is a wonderful part of the river for swimming. Bike hire on site. Other things to note We are an accredited ‘Carbon Negative’ farm specialising in rare breed pigs, sheep and goats with a Food Standards Agency rating of 5 stars to sell meat to guests including our very special Cumberland sausage. Bring a freezer bag/box if you want to take some back with you.
