The Chalet-Rifugio is surrounded by greenery 3 km from Misurina, 14 km from Cortina and 18 km from Auronzo with a view of the Marmarole, Sorapiss, Cadini and Cristallo group. Arranged on 4 floors, with 5 INDEPENDENT apartments, one of which is on the ground floor, free of architectural barriers and a shared living area. Since January 2025, the Refuge has been equipped with a Starlink satellite dish for Internet connection. The Chalet-Rifugio can accommodate up to 25 people, including adults and children. The space The Chalet-Rifugio consists of 5 independent apartments, each with two bedrooms, one double and one with two single beds, and a bathroom. The ground floor is adorned with a veranda that surrounds the entire floor, including a common living area equipped with a large kitchen divided into two rooms, a large dining room, TV room, living rooms, stube area, laundry room, 2 bathrooms and other hallways. On the top floor, an attic consisting of a loft that occupies the entire floor, a bathroom and a balcony overlooking Marmarole, Sorapis and Cadini. The attic is accessible as a living room but not for use as a bedroom. Before the renovation, the house was the Rifugio San Lorenzo, and the Rifugio lo Chalet retains the characteristics of warmth, charm and even certain rustic aspects typical of the mountain, rather than the luxury hotel. Guest access The Chalet-Rifugio is located on the SR48 road that leads from Auronzo (BL) to the junction between Cortina and Misurina. 3 km from Misurina after the Hotel Cristallo (now closed) on Via Valle Ansiei number 43 is the Chalet-Rifugio (formerly Rifugio San Lorenzo). Other things to note Guests staying less than three nights must bring their own linen (sheets, pillowcases and towels). An exception is made for those who come from overseas, in which case the linen is provided by the house. A separate collection system is set up with special containers (paper, plastic, glass) and another for organic waste. The bags of the differentiated waste must be taken to the containers located in front of the Cristallo hotel, now closed, 250 meters before the house. Guests are kindly requested to provide the waste bags in the appropriate containers before leaving the Shelter. The Chalet-Rifugio is equipped with a Starlink satellite dish. The password is provided to each guest. The best signal reception is on the ground floor where the router is located. The Chalet-Rifugio is not equipped for dogs or other animals to stay inside. A dog kennel is available in the back of the garden. The price of the chalet-retreat per night is €750 for groups of up to 20 people. From 21 to 25 people the price rises to €1000.
