Sea Breeze (ecological villa)

Surrounded by olive trees and with a breathtaking panoramic view, this solar powered house will not cease to surprise you! Kitchen and living room are not separated by any wall and this creates an open and comfortable environment. We grow our food in an organic way and we have 8 chickens and 2 goats, which provide us with fresh milk and eggs every day. So don't waste your time in crowded resorts and boring apartments. Come stay at our home, meet our charming goats and experience something new! The space On the ground floor there is the living room (with a sofa bed) and the kitchen (well equipped and with a large table). On the first floor there is a bedroom, a bathroom and a terrace. 4 big windows give you 180 degrees of vision over the sea and mountain. Unlike the village of Agia Galini, up here we have (most of the time) a wonderful sea breeze. The big size of the windows allows the breeze inside the house. This keeps it cool naturally. During the winter, the windows are kept closed and the house warms up naturally, like a greenhouse. This means that we do not produce any CO2 to climatize the house, making it a perfect ecological solution. Guest access You will have exclusive use of all the spaces on the ground floor, first floor, parking space, terraces and garden. You won't share any of these spaces with any other person as there are no other houses nearby. Me, Martanoemi and our daughter live below the house, with indipendent access, so you will have lots of privacy. Other things to note For more information about our surroundings, you can find us on Google maps. Other Airbnb's and Hotels ask you to pay on arrival an extra of 15 euro per day ( Climate Resilience Fee ). We don't do that. The price you pay now is the final price. In Crete, during the months of July and August, the island can have intense heat waves with hot air coming from the Sahara. So, starting from 2022, we will have air conditioning in the bedroom, but because we are off the grid and rely only on batteries for the night, the temperature setting of the AC cannot go below 26 degrees Celsius. We have fast, reliable and unlimited wifi connection. It is forbidden to smoke inside the house, but it's no problem to smoke in the terrace (where you will find an ashtray) We do not serve breakfast but we will gladly share with you what we produce (milk, yogurt and eggs, generally) All couches and beds are folded with blankets and sheets that we clean at 90°C with our solar powered washing machine. Twice a day (around 7AM and 7PM) I will be walking next to the house in order to milk the goats and give water to the plants. Our house has stairs, steps and some edges with 2 meters fall. If you come to our house you must accept this condition and the fact that we deny any responsability for accidents and injuries. The dirt road that leads to the house is in good condition and can be used with any car, but if you have acrophobia (phobia of heights) then this might not be the place for you (see pictures for details). Crete is an island and like any island, it can get windy. During the summer we don't have rain, not even clouds. The only type of bad weather you might experience are strong winds. If you come to our house you must accept the possibility of having one or more days of heavy winds. There Is a security camera that monitors the entrance driveway.
