Quiet residential area close to bus line, bike paths, mall,I205 & 224. Park & school grounds are close. Less than hour to skiing @ Mt Hood. The house is not in Portland but is relatively close especially if driving- about 20 min in no traffic to Downtown, longer during peak hours. Parking in the driveway or in front of the house is OK. Check Trimet trip planner using SE Webster Rd & Clackamas Rd to see if it works for you-limited bus service on weekends/eves. Arrival time needs to be arranged. Large windows that look out into a generous, fenced, backyard give this room a wholesome natural light. This sunroom is painted a calm sage color, has a new bed and mattress, new curtains, new nightstand, large desk and chair and new lights as of Feb 2023. The room has a wardrobe with full length mirror, an upholstered chair to relax in and a side table. A Private door opens onto the backyard patio where a table and chairs await. Smoking is OK out here, just please be mindful of open windows. French doors open into the dining room and kitchen area and are covered for privacy by curtains in and out. The bathroom is down the hall. Two additional bedrooms across from the shared guest bathroom are available for rent also. They share the guest bathroom. They have traditional double size beds, are simply furnished with a night stand, dresser, shelves and desk with chair and are comfortable for long or short stays. Guests have access to on site parking (first come first served), kitchen and dining area, washer and dryer, bathroom with shower, tub and hair dryer, and backyard. The Sunroom can be accessed through the front door and then through the french doors in the dining area. In the kitchen you can use any appliance or utensils you would like. Tea, bread and spreads, fruit, almond milk and cereal available in the mornings. Books, DVD player and TV are for guest use. I do have Hulu and Prime. The bedroom at the end of the hall on the right is occupied and therefore off limits. I am very easy going and flexible. If you need something just ask. I am very comfortable with people from all backgrounds and everyone is welcome here. I have traveled both nationally and internationally and stayed in a variety of settings. If someone needs assistance in getting to know the area or what to do, where to go, I am more than happy to help. If someone likes privacy and would prefer little interaction, I am OK with that too. I would welcome conversation and love meeting new people, but am quite independent also. I work as an RN from home now. I often head out for a few hours. Really just let me know what you are comfortable with and I am sure I can accommodate. I may not be here during your whole stay but am available for questions on the site if any arise. I moved to this neighborhood when my girls were school age because it has a park down the street and the grade school across the street. It is a good neighborhood to walk or go for a run. There is always someone walking their dogs down this street. There is a Safeway, Subway, Chinese restaurant, Starbucks, internet coffee shop, pizza place and convenience stores just up the street. This is a very safe residential neighborhood that has easy access to the rest of the Portland Metro area. There is a bus stop just across the street near the school which can take you into town. TriMet has a good system but where I live the buses don't run as frequently or as late. There is the 205 bike path just up the street that goes all the way into Vancouver, Washington and connects with the Springwater Corridor bike path also. A great way to get around! I have a large driveway for your vehicle and there is quick access to I205, 213 and 224 so getting around by car is very easy. About 15-20 minutes to downtown Portland, less than 10 minutes form the Clackamas Town Center (there is a MAX line there), 5 minutes to downtown Milwaukie, less then an hour to Mt Hood, which is stunning, and an hour and half to the Oregon coast. The Clackamas River Recreational Area and Mt Hood National Forest are close for outdoor activities. This is the great Pacific NW so why not check out some of our natural areas and get wild! Great value for someone who has a car or doesn't mind not being right in Portland proper. The house is a traditional ranch style home with 3 bedrooms, sunrroom with a new double bed , 2 baths (one for guests to share) large back yard. Gypsy my old sweet boxer lives here too. Use only the dead bolt on the front door please. I like to explore the doings and goings on around town, play a game of pool, hit a local bar, hang out with friends and family, try new places to eat. In warmer months I am often kayaking, camping, working in the yard, road tripping. I sometimes have people over but don't entertain routinely.
