My husband and I are empty nesters looking to provide high quality, comfortable, hypo-allergenic, smoke-free rooms to visitors. We hope our guests will enjoy all that New Hartford has to offer. Our town provides 4 seasons of recreation - skiing, hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking! Infinity Music Hall, Tanglewood, Hartford Stage, the Berkshires all are within a short commute. We have room to store bikes, skis, kayaks, and trailered boats. We have 2 rooms and 2 suites available to rent. This is Bedroom #1. The other rooms are listed separately. Guests will share access to the well-equipped kitchen, dining room and screened-in porch. The house is conveniently located within walking distance to the center of town with its restaurants, shops, library, and the Farmington River! Bedroom #1 is not available for long-term rentals. BEDROOM #2 is available for long-term rental for 1 occupant only. We have 2 suites that are suitable for 2 guests on a long-term rental basis. Look for: Suite 3 The West End Country Inn or The West End Country Inn Suite 4. Bedroom #1 is on the 2nd floor. The bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Guests have a separate entrance to the house. We have an apartment on the property and so will be available to answer any questions either in person or by phone. We live on the property in a separate apartment and are easily available by phone, if not in person, to answer questions and provide information on the area. The West End Country Inn is located on Rt. 44 within walking distance to the center of town, minutes away from the Farmington River (for fly-fishing and kayaking), Ski Sundown, People's State Park, and West Hill Lake. There are two wineries in town, various hiking trails and Tanglewood is about an hour away. Assigned parking is in the rear of the house. Let us know if you will be arriving in a large-size vehicle or have bicycle racks on the rear. It is a short walk down the sidewalk to the center of town - Pizza Pete's, Barden Farm Market Store, gas station, bank, pharmacy and Dunkin Donuts! There are stairs. We ask that no shoes be worn upstairs. We have storage for bikes, kayaks, canoes, and trailered boats. Please limit food in the bedrooms to drinks & snacks.
