Fynbos Paradise

The rondawel is situated on a lily pond with beautiful views out across the valley and a very tranquil atmosphere. It is a birder's paradise with many endemics in the garden and arboretum. There are easy hikes though pristine fynbos and nature. The space The rondawel (round house) is a fully self-catering venue for 2 people seeking tranquillity and nature. There is a lovely stoep (veranda) with excellent views and a firepit/braai for outdoor cooking. The frontdoor takes one into the bedroom/lounge and ensuite bathroom. Linen and towels are provided and the bathroom has a hotwater shower. The kitchen is fully equiped and in a separate building adjacent to the stoep with large boat-house doors , there is also a daybed and dining table. the fridge is electric and there is a power source for charging devices etc., the rest of the rondawel relies sufficiently on solar lights , oil lamps and candles. The surrounding farm has beautiful walks , and arboretum and a kloof with indigenous forest as well as a deck at the waterfall. Along the route is a plunge pool in amongst the fynbos for the guests to use. The birding is fantastic and the fynbos pristine. We follow an eco-friendly approach to house keeping, using enviromentally acceptable products, composting and re-cycling. All firewood is harvested on the farm from the clearing of invasive alien species. Guest access Guests have access to all walks and hikes on the farm as well as the plunge pool,garden and arboretum. Other things to note The venue is aimed at those who would like to immerse in the beauty and tranquillity of the space, although it is also close to beaches, wine farms and historical towns. There is NO oven, microwave or free wifi. The cell reception is good, 3G and Lte
