This listing is for the entire second story of our lovely 1800's Victorian on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village. You will not share accommodations with other guests. A nice spread of breakfast goods will be provided daily. A soak in our jacuzzi hot tub is the perfect way to begin or end any day. Perfect for big groups! The space The rooms at The Fox and Owl Inn are available for rent individually (see other property listings), but if you're traveling with a group of family or friends, this is the place for you! Rent all three of our rooms, share the space only with your party, and get the best deal going in Port Jefferson. All of the rooms are furnished with antiques from a long range of eras, making for a fun, unique atmosphere. We provide fresh linens (sheets, towels) for all arriving guests. The sleeping quarters are divided as follows, all with unique skeleton-keyed locks for your privacy: - The Glen: a calm room with a queen-sized bed, writing desk, and arm chair. - The Meadow: The Meadow provides sleeping space for three guests- two in a queen bed and one on a very comfortable daybed. The daybed is a "CB2 Lubi Sleeper Daybed," serving as a great place to read a book, take a nap, or spend the night. Please let the innkeepers know if someone in your party will be using the daybed as an overnight bed so that they can prepare it with a mattress topper and sheets. - The Cove: feel like you're right on the harbor in this room with one full-sized bed and one twin bed. The twin bed doubles as a lovely sitting area. This room has two closets. Along with these three bedrooms, you also have The Den, a common space complete with two sofas, a large dining table, a breakfast buffet, sink, fridge, coffee-maker, toaster, and microwave. Breakfast is self-service; we provide all the goodies you'll need for your own smorgasbord. Typical items include croissants, hard-boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit, bread, jams, snack bars, juice, coffee, and tea. Each room is appointed its own bathroom. Two are ensuite, while one is unattached and provided with long robes. There are three bathrooms total, one for each bedroom. Guests can dine inside or out, as you'll be steps away from a quiet back porch. Trays are provided for guests to take breakfast to bed, but we beg of you to be neat and tidy! Other things to note We aren't far from many popular destinations. Hop in your car and drive: - 15 minutes to Stony Brook University's campus, hospital, Staller Center, and sports fields. - 35+ minutes to North fork attractions such as wineries, pick-your-own farms, Tanger Outlets shopping, and more! - 15 minutes to historic Stony Brook village. - 15 minutes to Old Field Farm showgrounds. - 25 minutes to MacArthur airport. - 70 minutes to LaGuardia or JFK airports. The standard booking price includes the use of the one full and two queen beds. If you're in need of either or both of the twin daybeds, there is a flat $15 fee per bed, per stay. This will be collected through the Airbnb resolution center. Our calm, loveable little Corgi/Beagle mix named Utah lives with us and nearly never ventures into guest space. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets. Too many guests have allergies, fears, or discomfort around cats and dogs (as well as other furry friends) and we want everyone's stay to be as relaxing and comfortable as possible. We can gladly make recommendations for pet accommodations nearby if you would like. Lastly, during our busiest season (May through September), we will generally not accept one-night weekend requests (only Friday or only Saturday) until 7 days before check-in. Some exceptions may be made, so please feel free to inquire.
