Description
Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage site, The Old Coach House has plenty of charm. The cottage retains its large entrance at the front but benefits from a large orangery to make the most of the early morning sun. Personally, I love to do yoga in there as the sun rises. The space The orangery provides plenty of light but if you'd prefer to lounge on the sofas, we have a projector set up in there for film nights. The kitchen is stylish and well-equipped it is complete with a washer/ dryer and a dishwasher. There is a dining table in the orangery or why not eat al fresco. Upstairs is the master bedroom, with a kingsize bed, which is pure luxury. The bedroom is pine wood floors as you'd expect in a cottage. The bathroom has a double shower with waterfall shower head as well as a standard shower. There is also a whirlpool bath. There is also a second bedroom, which offers a double bed, ideal for another couple. Access to the garden is from the top floor. As we are in a valley, the garden is tiered heading up to the top of the walled garden. There is a patio area perfect for BBQs and four comfortable garden chairs which are perfect to spend hours relaxing in. The walled garden is very private. We have apple, cherry and plum trees as well as strawberries growing out there. The garden is a real sun trap during the day- from dawn until about 5pm. You will also have access to the fire pit for marshmallow toasting at the end of the night. We love it and feel confident that you will too. Guest access The Old Coach House is located on the A39 between Truro and Falmouth, so we are ideally situated for adventures all over Cornwall. You can travel easily to the Roseland via the King Harry ferry, head to the arty Falmouth and Penryn, explore the local harbour of Mylor or choose to explore the north coast. St Agnes is 30 minutes away and it is a similar time to reach St Ives. There is the Bissoe cycle trail very close by. There is also a very cute branch line station at Perranwell Station a short walk from the house. We are also very well served by public buses. If you have a car, we have two parking spaces at the front of the house, both will be available for you during your stay. We recommend reversing into the spaces, so that you can drive straight out on to the road- much safer than reversing out. Other things to note We are on the A39 so there is some road noise inside the house.
