The space *SMALL NATIVE HUT. *Existing Beds: One queen size bed *Maximum Number of Guests: 2 Adults *Amenities: aircon, private bathroom with hot & cold shower, cable TV, daily housekeeping, concierge, motorbike rental and parking *Recommended for couples This native-style Filipino-themed cottage is constructed with wood, bamboo, and a thatched 'nipa' roof. It has been tastefully remodeled to provide a warm, inviting, and cozy space. Equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning, a private bathroom with hot water, cable TV, and high-speed fiber internet, we offer an excellent blend of old-Filipino nostalgic charm and contemporary comfort. Tranquility awaits at our nearby rustic beaches or in our common spaces, where our staff will be more than happy to serve you refreshing mango smoothies, beers, pina colada, or any refreshments and snacks of your choice. A native-style Filipino cottage, like ours, has its own advantages and disadvantages. The traditional construction method with wood, bamboo, and thatched nipa roofs provides a pleasant indoor climate and a feel-good atmosphere. However, there are circumstances that may be unfamiliar in newer buildings. The wood constantly works, especially with climatic changes, which may result in tiny bits of wood occasionally falling. Although the rooms are thoroughly cleaned before each arrival, some wood bits may still fall, and an occasional lizard might find its way in while looking for mosquitoes to eat. We understand that these aspects can sometimes upset guests, but please know that they are unavoidable. Furthermore, it's important to understand the cultural differences when staying in the Philippines. Our staff, particularly the local women, are incredibly warm, always willing to please, although they may appear a bit shy at times. They adhere to local customs and practices, which may differ from more direct Western approaches. We kindly request our guests to approach interactions with kindness and respect, as it fosters a more pleasant and fruitful experience for everyone involved. During your stay, experience personalized service starting with refreshing welcome drinks as soon as you arrive. Sumptuous daily breakfasts are also included, warm and ready as you awaken to the crisp, fresh morning air of Bohol! Guest access Guests can easily access: - The Natura Vista facilities, whirlpool, kiddie pool, hammocks, cozy lounging areas, game boards, dart board, book exchange - The public beaches - Different tours for a fee - Hinagdanan Cave which is walking distance from the resort. - The public beaches like San Pedro Public Beach, Sibukaw Beach, and Dap-dap Public Beach where the marine sanctuary is located - Massage from our experienced masseuse for a minimal fee - Free pool access at the nearby Blue Moon Inn (depending on availability) Other things to note You may want to bring the following for your convenience: - beach towels/sarong (for lounging around the beach). We provide bath towels but we kindly request to leave them in the inn and not bring them to the beach. - comfortable shoes and slippers/flip flops - water shoes or beach booties (very useful since parts of the beach can be rocky/weedy) - snorkeling gear if you plan to go snorkeling or island hopping (also available for rent at Balicasag Island or Alona Beach) - toiletries and insect repellent (also available in our store). We do our best to control them Bohol is a tropical island so you can always expect these bugs - Earplugs. We sometimes give them for free depending on availability (ask from the reception) but it’s advisable to bring them. It’s a fishing community and some residents have roosters and chickens. Also Filipinos just love to videoke sometimes (we say it’s Japan’s revenge for losing the war!) and while the law bans this activity after 10 pm, earplugs can still come in handy if you want silence at 8pm. What we offer is a unique and genuine Boholano experience. Here’s what you can do around the area (for your easy reference): 1. The nearby beach cove may seem small, but if you have your water shoes/beach booties and brave the usually calm but occasionally rocky shoreline, there is a long, beautiful wild coast that you can explore. 2. 15-minute walk from Natura Vista is the historical Hinagdanan Cave where the locals used to hide during the war. Today, tourists frequent this small, exotic swimming lagoon. There are also stores and souvenir stalls which offer decent prices outside the cave. 3. Have a private romantic dinner by the beach. Under the stars, your toes on the sand, with tiki torches and candlelights sparkling around you, with your own waiter serving home-made Filipino dishes and a good bottle of wine or cocktail of your choice. The service fee is only P2500 with a 3-course dinner and private waiter, or add P500 for bottle of red or white wine. 4. Experience a romantic Sunset Banca Cruise. Have a few drinks as a local fisherman sails you into the sunset. Many couples do this before they go off to the private dinner by the beach. 5. Have a day tour at the nearby luxurious Mithi Resort. This is not guaranteed as reservations are accepted depending on their availability. 6. Snorkel in the Dap-Dap Snorkeling Sanctuary. It’s not as rich as Balicasag Island but it’s more peaceful, almost private, and giant clams have been bred here. Best done in the morning. A local fisherman picks you up from the shore and sails you to the sanctuary. 7. If you miss your dog, you can walk our Maynard to the beach. He loooves to cuddle too, so cuddles are always welcome! Price: Totally Free! 8. Book a soothing massage in your room. Whole Body massage for one hour is P500. Foot and leg last 30 minutes at P300. 9. Read a book, play board games. We have book swap area where you can leave your book and take any book you like in exchange. We have Sungka (a local game), Darts, Playing Cards, Chess, Dama/Checkers, Scrabble, Jenga. 10. Book a Bohol countryside or an island-hopping tour.
