Description
A cosy Scottish cottage just a stone’s throw from the sea. Comfortable accommodation with all mod cons including Wifi, full central heating and a log burner. The cottage has one bedroom with a king sized bed and is a favourite with couples or solo travellers looking for a peaceful getaway. Set in 20 acres of grounds comprising large lawns, victorian walled garden and woodland. A number of activities are available at no extra cost including BBQ, tennis court, putting green and giant chess. The space The Gate Lodge is located in the small private estate of Kames Castle, nestled between Kames Bay and beautiful Scottish Countryside. This cosy self-catering cottages is one of 7 cottages located throughout 20 acres of private grounds, comprising extensive lawns, a wooded area and an 18th Century walled garden. A number of facilities are available for guest use during the summer months including a BBQ, an all-weather tennis court, small putting green, croquet and football goals - all at no extra cost. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire cottage. Other things to note Guests are asked to take suitable care when staying at Kames, particularly those staying with children. There is an open stream that runs at the edge of the estate – please note that this has no fence surround. Our groundsman works throughout the year and often uses machinery, for example to mow lawns and chop logs. A number of areas in the grounds are marked ‘Private’ or ‘No Unauthorised Access’ – these must be strictly adhered to. Finally, in an effort to encourage wildlife into the estate, the wooded area is – as far as possible – left to grow naturally so inevitably has fallen branches, leaves and some muddy areas. We kindly ask guests to take necessary care. Registration Details AR01698F
