Welcome to the Butterfly, our sweet little home away from home in Gatlinburg! This cute and super clean studio has a pillow top king-sized bed, hot tub under twinkle lights, fully stocked kitchen, and way too many extras to list! Located less than five miles to downtown Gatlinburg, Anakeesta, Ripley's Aquarium, Skybridge, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park! Whether it's a home base for exploring or you never leave the cabin, it's perfect for a solo trip or a getaway for couples! What does a memorable Smoky Mountains vacation look like to you? To us, it starts with the place you call your home base while in Gatlinburg. We welcome you to our studio cabin, a home away from home in the Arts and Crafts Community. It's cozy, it's comfortable; past guests say, "They thought of everything" or "it's like staying with a friend." Whether you're just heating up leftovers or making a five course dinner, we've got you covered in the kitchen with everything you could possibly need. There are plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, cookware; we've got spices too! Kitchen appliances include Crock Pot, blender, mixer, toaster, electric water kettle, air fryer, even a waffle iron! There's a charcoal grill outside and we even provide the charcoal. We have a full coffee setup, including locally roasted coffee, a variety of k-cups, sugar and other sweeteners, filters, as well as a selection of tea. We provide the dish soap, dishwasher detergent, dish towels, paper towels. This isn't a "bare minimum" situation. We don't think those kinds of things are your responsibility. When your vacation includes more than just hanging out in the cabin, we're ready to help out there too! Start your morning with some stretching or yoga on the patio; there's a yoga mat waiting for you. If you're going hiking, grab the backpack for snacks and the hiking poles for stability...or just to make you look legit. Pack a picnic lunch in the cooler that's waiting for you to use, get a roast in the Crock Pot so dinner is ready when you return, and spend the day at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, less than 5 miles away! Real talk: many cabin owners live out of state, and very rarely visit their cabins, and the recommendations they give you are the same as anything you can find in a five minute internet search. We live nearby, we go hiking regularly, we eat at the local restaurants, we experience the local attractions, so we can give you honest recommendations. There are local hiking guidebooks in the cabin, and we are only a message away if you want a personal recommendation for hiking trails, sightseeing, or recommendations for activities in the park! If you’re up for some family fun, Ober Gatlinburg is within 5 miles, as are all the Downtown Gatlinburg attractions like the SkyBridge, Anakeesta, Ripley's Aquarium. We’re a stone's throw from the Arts & Crafts Community, where you can watch local artisans do their work. Dollywood and Splash Country are 12 miles away. Experience it all knowing that the hot tub is waiting for you back at the cabin to help you recharge when the day’s adventures end. Weather outside not so great? Pop some popcorn in the microwave and settle in for some board games or curl up under a blanket and watch a movie or read a book. We've got everything you need to stay entertained while Mother Nature takes her frustrations out on the rest of the world. Feeling social? There’s a fire pit that is shared with the cabin next door, so you can meet your neighbors and have a conversation over some roasted marshmallows. Feeling romantic? Pour a couple of glasses of wine and lounge in the hot tub with that special someone or sit in the porch swing or rocking chairs and chat all night. Twinkle lights overhead help make the scene perfectly relaxing. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and plenty of towels. There's even a towel warmer! Just bring your toothbrush! Finally, when it gets late, you’ll have plenty of room to stretch out on the king size bed with memory foam topper. There are extra blankets and pillows if you need them. You deserve a good night’s sleep. We have a Roku box with active Netflix and Hulu subscriptions. Live TV service, including both local networks and cable channels, is available as part of the Hulu package. And of course we have high speed internet and a selection of DVDs. If you have more people traveling with you, or you want to spread out, some of our other Gatlinburg properties are just steps away. This unit is the top floor of the cabin; the ground floor unit is entirely separate with no shared living space. Each unit has its own hot tub and kitchen. The unit below has a separate parking area and separate entrance and accommodates four travelers. The cabin next door is identical in setup with a single unit on the top and a separate one on the bottom. Let us know if you'd like to reserve all four units in both buildings for your family reunion or week away with friends. We’re so excited to share this space with you, because the best souvenir from any vacation are happy memories. The cabin has a binder inside with all the info you need about the property, as well as our recommendations for dining, entertainment, and hiking trails. We have spent years visiting the area throughout our lives, and now we live nearby, so you're also welcome to message us via the Airbnb app prior to or during your stay if you have specific questions about things to do or see. This isn't renting through a large cabin management company, where the owners are anonymous. This is a real family property that a real family owns and visits frequently and a real family does truly want you to enjoy it and the area just as much as we do! * Like most cabins in the area, our gas fireplace is non-operational from April 1 - October 15. This is the upper level unit of a two unit cabin. The only thing on the upper floor is this unit. There is a unit on the lower floor as well, with a separate entryway. You will have access to the upper unit, the front porch, the rear deck, and the firepit. We prefer to give our guests privacy and streamline the check in process. You will be given a code to the door and can check yourself in. Most people never see us during their stay, but we're always available by phone or text if you need anything. We live locally and are available throughout your stay to address any issues or help you choose something fun to do for the day. Gatlinburg is a tourist area with restaurants, shopping, and activities, including many free activities. There is no charge to visit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Less than five miles to: - Downtown Gatlinburg - Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies - Sugarlands Distilling Company and Ole Smoky Distillery (MOONSHINE!) - Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Ober Gatlinburg - Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Community - Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster Less than 12 miles to: - Dollywood - Tanger Outlet Mall - Titanic Museum - Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show - Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede - Pigeon Forge There's plenty of parking right outside the front door. There is a trolley providing transportation in and around downtown Gatlinburg. The nearest stop is about 1 mile away. The minimum age to reserve this cabin is 25. Absolutely NO PETS are allowed. This is not a pet-friendly cabin. No trailers are allowed. There is enough parking for ONE vehicle. This is the upper floor unit of a two unit cabin. Each unit is self-contained and is entirely separate from the other - separate entrances (upper unit entrance is in front, lower unit is built into a hill, so entrance is in the back), separate living spaces, separate hot tubs. The upper unit shares a parking area with the guests in the upper unit of the neighboring cabin. Like most cabins in the area, our gas fireplace is non-operational from April 1 - October 15.
