The Perfect Stop

A working farm in the Eden Valley with beautiful views over the river Lowther and overlooking woodland rich in wildlife, including red squirrels and deer. Given its peaceful situation, it is surprisingly only a 5 minute drive from major transport routes (north/ south/ east/ west) and Penrith Station. Only 5 miles to Ullswater and the lakes. Barn conversion includes bedroom with private terrace, bathroom (shower and bath), large sitting/ breakfast room. Well behaved dogs welcome on request (2 maximum - extra charge of £10 dog/night). Enclosed outdoor space provided. We look forward to welcoming you to 'the perfect stop'. The space Bed and Breakfast only. Ground level ANNEX. Guests enjoy a sitting room with a log burner in winter months. Bedroom with king sized bed, bathroom and terrace. There is NO kitchen but breakfast will be provided for DIY. (No cooked breakfast- yoghurts, muesli toast and fruit etc) kettle, fridge and toaster but NO cooker. Guest access Access is via the shared back door of house but guests then turn into their own space. The bedroom has a French window overlooking the river. Other things to note The perfect spot for a stop over to/from The Highlands. There is a safe lockup for bicycles. Babes in arm are welcome and cot is available. This is not suitable for crawling or toddlers. Eating out: a choice of country pubs within 3 miles and Penrith offers the facilities of a market town. Guests staying for more than one night are gently reminded that this is a B&B and NOT a holiday cottage/hotel /work-from-home and are expected to be out by 10.30 am enjoying the local sights during the day. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times as there are free-range poultry . Dogs are not allowed on the bed- however tempting as the bedroom is on the ground floor - future guests may have allergies to pets . Thank you for observing these important dog rules.
