Private & Spacious Cottage on Lake George
Enjoy the serenity and beauty of northern Lake George in the historic, and private, Rogers Rock Club. Surrounded by plush greenery, this 19th century cottage offers the opportunity to disconnect and recharge in a peaceful and natural setting. The cottage is only a short distance to the lakefront, where you will experience breathtaking views and enjoy shared access to swimming docks, a club house (with ping pong and pool table), swimmers beach (perfect for small children) and more. The space This house has been owned by the Carney family for almost 40 years, and has served as a favorite place to escape the city and unwind in the countryside. It is furnished with lovely antiques, has 4 bedrooms (one bedroom has one queen bed and other 3 bedrooms have 2 twin beds each) 2 bathrooms (including a shower and a clawfoot tub with a lake view), living room, dining room, eat in kitchen with dishwasher, screened in porch with lake view, spacious deck with gas grill, and washer & dryer. All members and guests have shared access to the lakefront, which is a 5 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) from the cottage. There you where you will find a swimming dock, a small swimming beach (perfect for small children), a clubhouse with ping pong table, pool table, fridge, internet, and a large dock with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. There are also clay tennis courts on the club property, just a 5 minute walk from the house. Because of this private location, there is limited cellphone service at the cottage (usually no signal at all) and no WiFi in the house. However, there is WiFi internet available at the casino and the area surrounding it, as well as a cellphone signal on the large dock. Other things to note This cottage is part of a private club (The Rogers Rock Club) there is a short application process along with a set of club rules, which are included below. Additionally, due to COVID, an additional set of rules have been implemented for the Summer 2020 season to protect all owners, guests and renters, also included below. Principles of Behavior Rogers Rock Club - GENERAL Please drive slowly and cautiously. Bear left on the circular drive. Dogs should be leashed on Club property (see below for waterfront dog swimming hours). Golf carts should adhere to automobile guidelines. Carts should not be parked on the steamer dock or grassy peninsula. Renters: All renters should be presented the Introduction to RRC & Principles of Behavior before arrival. Both documents should be posted in each cottage that is being rented. Overnight and daily guests at the waterfront will not exceed 8 people unless approved by the RRC Board. Principles of Behavior Rogers Rock Club - WATERFRONT Swim only within swim lines. Swimming off the big dock is not recommended. Be considerate when using seating at all areas of the waterfront. Please limit to one vehicle per cottage at the waterfront. Please walk, don’t run, on docks and dock adjacent walkways. Adults, please enforce this rule when necessary. Use the area next to the casino for canoe/kayak storage. Please leave the canoe/kayak launch area clear for the use of others The beach area is for swimming only. No boats should be left on the beach. The waterfront is a smoking- and fireworks-free zone. No jet skis are permitted to be used. Do not play radios, CD players or musical instruments at the waterfront unless authorized by the RRC Board. Glass beverage containers are not allowed at the waterfront. Tackle boxes should not be left unattended on the steamer, or any dock. Please leave the waterfront, including the grill, as you found it. That being clean and usable for the next guest. Boats must be 24.5 feet or less to be eligible for dock space. Powerboats should not approach the swimming area or swim dock at any time. Passenger pick-up and drop should be at steamer or metal docks. Dogs are allowed at the waterfront before 8AM and after 6PM only. Please be courteous and keep noise to a minimum after 10PM. The Casino closes at 11PM. Please shut the doors and turn off the lights if you are the last to leave at night. If you build a fire in the Casino fireplace, keep a close eye on it and ensure it is smoldering or extinguished when you leave it. Principles of Behavior Rogers Rock Club - COVID RRC Board reserves the right to revoke rentals at any time iif COVID infections increase regionally or are deemed to be a threat. There will be a refund provided Only 5 renters per house can use the RRC facilities at any one time (this includes the waterfront) As part of the application process, renters must include where they are coming from. Any renter that is coming from a state listed in Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order requiring self-quarantine upon arrival in New York will result in an application denial. Masks should be brought to all Club facilities, including the waterfront and tennis course. Masks must be worn if unable to maintain 6 feet of social distancing. Social distancing is mandatory at all shared facilities, with all people maintaining a 6 foot distance from any other person outside of a family unit. There will not be hand sanitizer provided at the waterfront, so each person is recommended to bring their own. There will be no community seating at the waterfront, requiring each person to bring their own seats if wanted. A port-a-potty will remain at the waterfront for use. Please sanitize all handles before and after use. The casino will remain closed through the Summer 2020 season to prevent groups of people in a confined space. The Swim Dock is available for swimming only this season. No one should congregate there since social distancing is not possible in such a small space. To properly screen all owners, guests and renters, all visitors will be contacted 14 days prior to arrival and will be asked the following questions: 1. Has anyone in your group been exposed to someone with COVID 19? 2. Has anyone in your group recently experienced a cough, fever, or shortness of breath? 3. Has anyone in your group recently experienced body aches or gastrointestinal distress? 4. Has anyone in your group recently experienced a sore throat or a loss of sense of taste or smell? 5. Has anyone in your group recently tested positive for COVID 19 and is asymptomatic or has not fully recovered? If any of these questions are answered ‘YES’ the reservation or visit should be cancelled.
