A rustic Cape Cod tucked away in plain sight just a block away from the KU campus. A short drive or Uber to downtown Lawrence or decent walk to Allen Fieldhouse or Memorial Stadium. The Atwood Room is one of two upstairs guestrooms, the room has walk-in closet with desk. Excellent study nook! Home away from home. Comfortable beds & space to cook, eat, work, read, relax. Or, walk to a KU game. No fuss with parking just leave your car here. Can drive to Mass street for restaurants or several great bars that are very unique. Please be safe, Uber/Lyft home as needed. Laptop friendly table with chairs & front room with comfy couches. Backyard has fire pit (weather permitting) Large patio with grill, lounge chairs, & glider. We give each guest a keypad code to the front and back door for access at ANY time. Hosts are home most of time but please call or message at any hour if you need anything. Center of Lawrence feel free to ripple out in any direction. We will be your home base at the center. Walking distance to KU & Allen Field House. For food the Merc (grocery co-op), quick trip, restaurants, bakery, bowling & billiards are in walking distance. Also close to 2 bus stops. Drive, Uber, or Lyft to Mass Street in 5-10ish min depending on destination. I sometimes like to let the chinchillas out in evenings. Guests are free to watch them run & play. Host will offer & must be present during play time to wrangle fur babies back home to their cages. We have four total rooms listed on Airbnb so multiple guests may be present during your stay, but the house is spacious enough to accommodate everyone comfortably.
