Large, comfortable bedroom on 2nd floor, hall bathroom with clawfoot tub/shower. Guests can easily walk to downtown business district or the riverfront and convention center. Great parking for any size car! Ideal central location close to everything - waterfront, restaurants, train station, museums, Queen Theater, music venues, beer garden, brew pubs, coffee house and more! Beautiful house with a legacy dating back to Quaker Hill settlers in 1738. Located in historic/arts district. The space Historic 130 year old house with beautiful hardwood floors, tall ceilings, three story staircase and modern bathrooms. You're booking a second floor bedroom with a full size bed, dresser, desk and a shared hall bath with claw foot bathtub. On the third floor of the house is a master suite where guests can book the entire third floor for extra privacy. The suite has a queen size bed plus a single bed along with a spacious master bathroom. This suite can be booked on AirBnB or ask the host if you're interested. I also have a private office, bedroom, bathroom and sitting room on the second floor. The kitchen, dining room, living room and powder room on the first floor are open to all guests anytime. Guest access Guest(s) have access to their private room, their designated bathroom and the shared areas of the home (kitchen, living room, dining room, half bathroom, courtyard off of kitchen). If applicable the following areas are not to be entered: other's private room(s)/bathroom(s), basement, attic, storage room(s). During your stay I enjoy greeting new guests when I get the chance. We respond quickly when you need anything, so don't hesitate to reach out. Other things to note Wilmington is a small city, you can walk from river to river in under 30 minutes. The riverfront and the downtown areas are safe, well lit and full of visitors at most hours of the day. HISTORY OF THIS LOCATION Quaker Hill was settled in 1738, when Quakers William Shipley and Thomas West built the first residences in the area. During the Revolutionary War, George Washington and The Marquis de Lafayette were quartered on Quaker Hill. Among those buried on Wilmington Friends Meeting grounds across the street are John Dickinson, signer of the Constitution, and Thomas Garrett, an abolitionist who worked with William Still and Harriet Tubman as part of the Underground Railroad.
