A unique barn in the tranquil Waveney Valley

The Barn is a rural retreat in the beautiful, picturesque village of Wortwell, looking out onto the Waveney valley. There are lots of walks on your doorstep with an abundance of wildlife. Whether you want to relax by the woodburner whilst soaking up the views, take long walks whilst enjoying the wildlife, cycle,canoe or fish, Wortwell is the perfect location being on the South Norfolk/Suffolk border. We provide fresh ground coffee from Strangers coffee house. The space The Barn is a unique and cosy space to come and unwind in the countryside. Snuggle up with a book in front of the woodburner or enjoy the views from the patio across the private garden and to the Waveney valley beyond. Relax in the chairs by the firepit or Cook tea on the BBQ any time of the year. Enjoy a walk or cycle to explore the local wildlife before taking a relaxing soak in the copper bath. Please note sometimes during the Summer months if prolonged heat waves the use of the fire pit/bbq is not allowed due to insurance enforcement due to a fire risk. Please make sure you have looked at all the photos so you are happy with everything, we do live here too & absolutely respect your privacy.We each have our own private garden but if you are looking for 100% seclusion then you may want somewhere else. Other things to note We are proud to announce to be fully committed to our customers during the Covid-19 outbreak we have hired a local established five star cleaning business. The barn is heated via a renewable heat pump which gives instant hot water and underfloor heating throughout. The electricity for the Barn comes from solar panels. We provide a compost bin and a recycling bin as well as a normal waste bin. The closest electric fast charging station to us is the BP station in Diss which is 20 minutes away.
