Le Petit Arbizon: a balcony overlooking the Pyrenees

A balcony on the Pyrenees! On the shores of Lake Payolle, this 40 m 2 duplex T3 cottage with terrace offers panoramic views of the lake and the Arbizon massif. We have carefully renovated it with quality materials. At an altitude of 1140 m, at the foot of the Col d'Aspin, Lake Payolle is an exceptional site in the Pyrenees, dedicated to pastoralism and outdoor activities, in all seasons. Our gîte, located at a height, will allow you to enjoy it in peace. The space This adjoining cottage offers an unobstructed view of the lake and mountains. With a surface area of 40 m2, the Petit Arbizon includes: - On the ground floor: 1 living room with kitchen, living room with fireplace, and 1 terrace of 10 m2. - Upstairs: 2 separate bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet. Beds: 2 bunk beds 90 x 190 cm, 1 bed 140 x 190 cm, 2 sofa beds 80 x 190 cm. Le Petit Arbizon is part of the set of cottages perfectly integrated into the Payolle site, designed by the architect Edmond Lay in the 70s. We renovated it using natural materials (Pyrenean slate paving, wood) for comfort and modernity. Access is steep and not suitable for people with reduced mobility. On the agenda for your stay, depending on the season: - On site in Payolle: numerous hikes for all levels, snowshoeing and sledding in winter depending on snow conditions, fishing (fishing course, pontoons), mountain biking (marked circuits), sports cycling (Aspin and Hourquette d'Ancizan passes), horseback riding, archery, paddle, canoe and pedal boat, paragliding, pumptrack for children/teens, electric mountain bike rental, etc. - Nearby, less than 45 minutes away: Pic du Midi (cable car), Tourmalet La Mongie ski area, Vertige de l'Adour via ferrata, Aya tree climbing, Médous caves, Baudéan and Bagnères de Bigorre museums, Aquensis thermal spa... Guest access Access to Lake Payolle: A64 highway, exit 14 (Tournay/Bagnères-de-Bigorre). Then head towards Campan/La Mongie. In Sainte-Marie-de-Campan, head towards Lac de Payolle. For parking: you have a reserved space in the lake parking lot, at the foot of the cottages. Other things to note - As we don't live on site, we ask our guests to bring their own sheets, towels and kitchen towels. - Cleaning is provided by guests and checked at the outgoing inventory. - No Wi-Fi but 4G reception.
