Langs Lakehouse: Wake up just steps from the water in one of the very few true lakefront homes on Lake Trasimeno. Spend your days swimming, paddleboarding, or cycling quiet Umbrian roads, and your evenings dining outdoors as the sun sets across the lake. This is not just a place to stay—it’s a slower, more beautiful way of living for a while. Paddleboards and bikes included Large outdoor terrace for dining and relaxing Pizza oven for long summer evenings Sleeps up to 5 guests comfortably The space Ground Floor ​ The large pergola in front of the house can be opened to provide better views and light. It also provides shade during the hotter months and is a great place to entertain or relax. The sliding glass front door opens into the living area of the ground floor. There is a chest of drawers with keys, table tennis bats, etc and on the left there are stairs taking you upstairs. To the right is the living area with sofa and a dining table with chairs. There is a bathroom with loo and sink accessed through the doorway to the left of the kitchen and a cupboard directly to the left of this doorway under the stairs for storage. At the end of this room is a kitchen with electric oven and gas hobs and a Smeg fridge to the right. There is also a coffee machine, kettle and toaster in this area. For groups with younger children there is a cot bed and high chair available. First Floor Upstairs there is a bookshelf on the landing with games, travel books, cook books and magazines. Immediately on the right is a bathroom with a bidet, loo and shower and electric shower rail. Walk along the corridor and on your left there is a double bedroom with a chest of drawers and a split air-conditioning system. Along the corridor you will find a large walk in cupboard with hanging space. At the end of the corridor is a sliding door into the front bedroom with stunning views directly onto the lake. There are Venetian blinds within the windows to block out the light and there is a single bed on the right and a double bed on the left with split air-conditioning system. Outside ​ Beside the house there is a laundry room with a washing machine and water filtration system. There are also balls, paddles for paddleboards, life jackets, and a portable bbq in here. There is a wonderful outdoor pizza oven and gas bbq. In front of the property there is a large grass terrace with a hammock and firepit. From here you can gain access to the lake. On the right of this area is an outdoor shower with hot water. There are lots of herbs in the garden for you if you would like to utilise when cooking. At the back of the house there is a small garden and large paved area. There is private parking for two cars. Under the garage area, there are paddle boards, four bikes and a table tennis table. Dog Friendly We are very happy to accept well behaved dogs at our lake house but we ask that dogs do not go in the bedrooms or on the furniture. There are lots of wonderful dog walking paths around the area and space on the paddle boards for the more adventurous dog. Guest access The whole property Other things to note There is an additional charge for heating, this is based on metered usage and will be charged at the time. Enthusiasts of good traditional food are in the right place in Umbria. Lake Trasimeno offers plenty of great eating options from delicious artisan pizza to both seafood and lakefish delicacies, all accompanied by the stunning backdrop of the lake. Local produce of note includes award winning olive oils from the surrounding hills, fresh line caught lake fish, delicious homemade liquors, legume grown on the fertile banks of the lake, locally produced saffron and the famous Torta al Testo from ‘ Maria ‘. Umbria has produced wines for over 3000 years and is now becoming internationally regarded for it’s unique grape varieties and terroir. It is where you’ll find some of the most amazing, delightfully undervalued Italian wines – from the crisp, dry white wines of Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino to the deep colored, antioxidant-rich reds of Sangiovese and Sagrantino. Umbria can cater for all palettes. The Lake House is a great base for wine touring and here is a list of boutique producers in the Lake Trasimeno area where the focus is on small batch, quality production and respect for the environment. Level of Lake There is a current problem in August 2024 with the level of the lake as it is very low and so you have to walk out from the house into the lake. Insects Due to the location of the property next to the Lake, there can be insects, including mosquitos and spiders.
