Mainstreet Bungalow (Look for- Bungalow on Main)

Our Main St., Bungalow is centrally located near downtown Frederick. It is within walking distance of the courthouse, pioneer town site and some of our favorite local eateries. Our bungalow is an Ideal location for hunters in Tillman county. Military discount available if you are visiting Altus AFB, Wichita Falls AFB, or Fort Sill. It is an easy commute to Vernon, Texas about 35 minutes, 45 minutes to Altus Oklahoma and approximately 1 hour drive to Lawton, OK and Wichita Falls, TX. The space The entire house is available and equipped with keypad entry and Vivint security system. The fireplace is not operable at this time. Guest access There is an inviting living room with four leather electric recliner and dining for 6. China is availble for use with caution (handwashing is required). A smart TV is available and basic Wifi through sparklight cable. Farmhouse style kitchen with a gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, small island/sitting area and new dishwasher (size is almost half of a standard dishwasher in order to fit the orignal cabinetry). Small walk in pantry and pots, pans, storage, plates, cups, silverware, and utensils. The half bath is rudimentary and barn style and adjoins the laundry room. The unfinished basement access is on the side of the half bath so the door and the bath door should remain shut to protect children and pets. Pardon our plans for progress as we have purchased a vanity which is being stored next to the half bath. We hope to expand the half bath into a full bath that adjoins the back bedroom. The Kenmore high capacity washer and dryer were purchased and installed in 2018. The water heater and HVAC system and all fans were installed in 2018. The back wooden deck is approximately 15 years old but has an inclined ramp for walker or assisted wheelchair entrance but is not ADA compliant due to steeper incline. The backyard is surrounded by chain link fence and wood fence on one side. There is an old unused Koi pond in the back and a compost bin to the side of the back porch. The front porch was rebuilt in 2017 and well designed with sturdy material that isn't subject to the elements like the wooden deck in the back. However, care should be taken when walking on the porch if there is ice or snow. Rock salt is available at the dollar store one mile north of the bungalow should winter weather be an issue during your stay. The two bedrooms have a dresser and The middle bedroom has a queen and the Master has a king bed and two closets and a desk. The third bedroom has been updated September 6 2023 to a full bed and a twin which have replaced the loft beds in order to accommodate our guests more comfortably and the loft beds were best suited to children. Other things to note Furnished extended stay rental perfect for monthly stays! Flexible accommodations....just contact host to see if we can meet your travel needs! Mid July 2020, new floor rugs were added in the living room and dining room and pics with new rugs are labeled.
