The space My bright and tranquil main door ground floor studio flat is located just off the Top of Leith Walk/London road. The flat comes with all the facilities to make our guests' stay a memorable one. There is a double bed (135 cm wide by 190 cm long) with a memory foam mattress, a sofa dining table, flat screen TV ( with local channels and Apple TV) and it is beautifully decorated throughout. In the early 1900s my home used to be a pharmacy (hence the large front window panels) and it was converted in the 1990s for residential use. After a full renovation, I converted this 27 sqm space into a compact bijoux home equivalent to a large hotel suite room with the added benefit of a fully equipped kitchen and a private entrance for privacy. The sleeping area is nested behind Japanese styled frosted glass panels. My newly refurbished kitchen has a fridge, hob, oven, microwave, espresso coffee machine as well as a washing machine and a dryer. An iron, iron board and hairdryer are also provided. The flat is located on a quiet no-through-traffic street, close to great coffee shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and a yoga studio. The Old Town and most of Edinburgh's many attractions are reachable by foot, although bus stops are close by. The flat is centrally located- just 15 minutes walk from Old Town. Macdonald Road Tram stop from Edinburgh Airport is located less than 5 minutes walk from the flat. Main Bus lines on London Road and Leith Walk will also connect you with Old and New Town within 10 minutes. The flat has a very convenient self check-in facility which allow our guests the flexibility of arriving at their own time from 16:00 onwards on check in day. Other things to note Accessibility: even though the flat is located in the ground floor and it has step free access, the shower in the bathroom is raised - due to having concrete floors underneath. Directions from Airport: you can either take a taxi (the average fare is around GBP 25), which if shared it makes your journey quicker or you can take the Edinburgh Tram service to the Macdonald Road Stop (as of April 2023), five minutes walk from the flat. Please note that smoking is not permitted indoors and an additional cleaning fee of £300 will be charged if guests smoke inside the property including smoking out of windows.
