Wild West Cottage in Burren Lowlands

Relax and breathe in fresh country air, listen to the peace and quiet and take a step back to life in an Irish cottage combining living in an old cottage but with all the modern conveniences. Located in the Burren Lowlands in the heart of rural countryside with lots of country lanes to explore in all directions where nature abounds. Ideal for walkers, hikers and bikers. A beautiful place to recharge away from the hustle and bustle. An ideal touring base and very convenient to Shannon Airport. The space A charming and cozy three bedroom cottage in the heart of rural Ireland situated in the Burren Lowlands. On entering the cottage there is a small porch to the front where in the mornings you can catch the sun whilst watching the birds. Next you enter the living room which has comfy seating and a solid fuel stove. The host will supply a starter pack and some wood for the fire. The stove creates a lovely ambience and it is lovely to relax and gaze into the flames. There is a television here along with a dvd/video player. Off the living room are two of the bedrooms both having double beds, bedside lockers and lamps, and wardrobe space. The hot-press is located in one of these bedrooms. In the hot-press is an immersion water heater which heats water for both the kitchen sink and bathroom sink and it also heats the water for the bath. It needs to be switched on for about 10 minutes to heat water for sinks and about 30 minutes for the bath. Also off the main living room area is another sitting/dining area. There is another small wood burning stove here to heat room. This room has another television with Playstation 3 and some games to use in it. There are some board games here also. There are couches and this room also has a dining table and six chairs. It can also be used as a quiet room away from kitchen and living area if there is a group of people staying. The kitchen is located off the sittingroom and to the rear of the house. The kitchen is quite large with lots of counter top space. It has a dining table with six chairs and double french doors which open out to the back garden. There is an electric cooker which has four cooking rings, a grill and full size oven with an extractor fan overhead. There is also a dishwasher, microwave oven, kettle and toaster. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs. The bathroom is located at the rear of the house also. It is a large bathroom and has a walk in shower which has a shower curtain surrounding it. It is an electric shower and the water does not have to be pre-heated. The shower heats water instantly. Simply give the overhead cord a good pull to activate and then press the power on button in the shower. The shower needs to be turned off by pulling overhead cord to off position as the shower in property next door will not operate otherwise as both are connected. The same applies if property next doors shower is left switched on. There is a full size antique bath with claw legs. The washing machine and tumble dryer are also here in the bathroom. Upstairs is the other double bedroom. There is bedside lockers, bedside lamps and wardrobe space. There are velux windows here which can let the sunlight in from all directions. There are blinds for night to darken room. In this room is a cot with blankets. Guests will have to provide sheets for cot. There are two easy chairs and a coffee table here as well. There are cupboards which have toys, books and puzzles for children. There is an iron and ironing board along with a full length swivel mirror. There is a blanket chest here which contains extra pillows, bedding, etc. Guest access There is a garden with lawn to the front of the cottage. To the back of the cottage is an enclosed area which has a picnic bench, sun loungers, garden table and chairs. There is also a clothes line at the back. The property is bounded by hosts land and their animals may be seen in these field. Adjacent to the cottage and on the same site is another smaller cottage which is also rented out on Airbnb. There is a BBQ which can be found under stairs area and this can be brought outside for guests use. Please note that it will have to be left back as clean as it was before use. There is off road parking to the front right hand side of driveway for guests use. The left is for property next door. If there is more than one vehicle belonging to guests there is extra parking off road in a gated yard at the side of property. Please remember to keep gates closed at all times as otherwise farm animals could escape. Other things to note Please note that shower in cottage is connected to the shower in property next door. When shower in cottage is turned on the shower next door will not work and, likewise, when shower next door is turned on the shower in cottage will not work.
