It can accommodate 2 adults + 1 child under 9 yrs old in a folding bed or a baby in a crib. The swimming pool and the pool house are equipped with sun loungers and a table with benches. Wifi available in the apartment and in some common areas. Free parking in the yard. The space La Maison Soleil is a cozy villa surrounded by a big garden with a shared swimming pool and a pool house. The respect of the environment is one of our priority. We have installed a solar water heater to make hot water, we separate all the solid waste, we make the compost and use it to grow our fruit trees. The rain water is collected to water the big garden. We support the local community and invite our guests to experience the local food in the restaurants of the village or to have a dinner with a Mauritian family as well to buy products made by local artisans. La Maison Soleil is situated 10 minutes walking from the village center of Trou d'eau Douce and 15 minutes walking from Trou d'eau Douce beach. The well-known Ile aux Cerfs, with its breathtaking beaches and its splendid lagoon waters, is just a short boat ride on the facing bay. La Maison Soleil is an ideal base for visiting the fabulous east coast beaches (Palmar public beach is 2,5 km far, Belle Mare public beach is 7 km far) and as a starting point for the exploration of the whole Island. A car is recommended if you want to move and to visit the area. Otherwise you can move by public transport (during daytime) or taxi. Guest access Guests have access to the swimming pool and to the pool house equipped with the sun loungers and the outside furniture. Other things to note La Maison Soleil has a tourism license issued by the Mauritian Tourism Authority. Following the sanitary protocol against covid19, your room will be cleaned and fully disinfected before your arrival. Disinfection is also made in the common spaces. Smoking is allowed just on the balcony, on the terrace and in the outside areas. The water is heated by a solar heater of 330 liters and the temperature of it may vary depending of the sun and of the season. Energy and water are very precious resources and we recommend not to waste them. We are eco-friendly and try to impact the less of possible on the environment. You can cooperate for a green environment separating plastic, beer cans, paper and fruit and vegetable waste from the rest of the trash. For your security and that of the whole house, it is advisable to lock the windows and the doors during the night or when you go out. We suggest you to put all your documents, credit card, cash or valuables in the safe box. The swimming pool can be used from 7 am to 9 pm While using the swimming pool children must be supervised by an adult who is responsible of their safety. We decline any responsibility in case of accident.
