With the Mourne Mountains to your right and the sea to your left as soon as you step outside, plus direct access to a coastal walking path just outside the Centre grounds, it's particularly well suited to walkers, outdoor adventurers, families and groups who want plenty to explore without giving up the comforts of home. An ideal base for exploring the Mournes Take a relaxing seaside walk each morning on the trail just outside the Centre’s grounds. Bloody Bridge trailhead is also five minutes away by car. There is a grocery store a 12 minute walk away. Spend your days hiking in the Mournes, mountain biking or kayaking at Castlewellan Forest Park, exploring Kilbroney Forest Park or taking on an adventure at Shannaghmore. When you're ready for a slower pace, Newcastle is ten minutes away for sea-lined shops and restaurants. Travelling with a larger group? French Cottage is part of a small cluster of four neighbouring cottages. Book more than one and friends or extended family can stay close together while still having their own private space. Together, the four cottages can accommodate up to 18 guests.
