Our charming free-standing apartment offers a private entrance with convenient parking in front. We are located in the center of Leelanau County's Wine Country; a birding, cycling and hiking, paradise. We are within close proximity to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and surrounded by miles of pristine Lake Michigan shoreline. There are abundant restaurants of varied ethnicity and quaint shops in the County and even more just 20 miles south in Traverse City. Everything inside the apartment is for your use and convenience. Should you need anything that is not provided, just ask us. Our home is close by and we are usually home. Feel free to stroll the property and enjoy the gardens. The fire pit and wood is also available for your use should weather permit. Host would appreciate guests submitting a brief personal profile along with their request for reservation, as well as a photo. Minimum three-night stay. Please note this is a seasonal listing, available from April through October Our home and apartment are located on three private acres. There are a few homes around us, but they are, for the most part, not visible. The apartment overlooks one of many perennial gardens and is backed by woods of oak and maple trees. Pine trees accent the property and provide a boarder for the north side. The air is filled with a magnificent fragrance in June when the lilac bushes are in bloom! Humming birds, deer, rabbits and an occasional fox are frequent visitors. And, of course, there is the infamous greeter, Charlie, our Springer Spaniel who loves company!! (see the remarks). Our driveway can be difficult to find and the house is not visible from the street. We are 2.5 miles north of the Suttons Bay caution light at 204 on M22. You will pass a vineyard on your left (west) less then a quarter mile south of our driveway. This is a non-smoking facility. And no pets please. Please note: The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, refrigerator with freezer, double sink, dishes, and miscellaneous utensils. There is no stove or conventional oven. Coffee, tea, sugar, coffee mate, popcorn and snacks are provided by owner; as well as all bedding and linens, towels, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
