I live in the apartment too , in my own separate flat, with my cats. It's their home too but please note that they are prohibited from entering your quarters. I am an Artist and have my studio on the mezzanine level. The guest rents out an apartment within a larger apartment; The kitchen, living/dining room, lounge and terrace are shared with me and the cats. Please refer to the floor plan for further details. Please note there is no elevator, this is very common in Valletta. You open the front door to the flat on the second floor and walk up to the apartment. The penthouse has been renovated to a high standard with great attention to detail, using carefully selected materials, colours, wallpapers and artwork. Beautiful antiques adorn the private guest apartment as well as the common parts The property is equipped with 5G WI-FI throughout, Netflix, IPTV and AC heating/cooling units in the main rooms. The duplex is ideally suited for the discerning traveller and business women/men who wants a luxurious pied a terre during their stay. Valletta is a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen: Residing here is truly an experience in itself, its location in the heart of this stately city is ideal for exploring. This penthouse is the living example that you can have your cake and eat it too. the property is nestled in a quintessential street, it is the perfect marriage between the romantic, quixotic, old Valletta and the vibrant, modern city of today. Its location is the perfect base for exploring the area as well as the rest of the Island. The duplex lies between the grandiose St George's Square and the iconic Carmelite church, with its recognizable cupola that adorns the city skyline. Other things to note Kindly note that there are no extra charges for late arrivals or early departures. The property is suitable for infants and children; they are more than welcome. I kindly ask you before booking to please ask yourselves if a stay in an apartment with stairs, railings, a mezzanine, balconies and a terrace with an aprox 80 cm high banister is suitable for YOUR child. Their safety whilst staying in our apartment is our primary concern. However, including children and infants (especially toddlers) in a booking will ultimately be your decision. Should you decide to book a stay with children, please inform me in advance and i will insure that household cleaning products are safely locked away. A cot and highchair are provided.Please note that to minimise potential damage, we don't allow childrens crayons, paint and colouring pencils and such in the property. Due to the large size of the property and to ensure that it is lovely and clean for your stay and the stay of other guests, the check-in time is generally 3.00pm and the check-out is at 10.00am. However, I like to be as flexible and accommodating as possible to ensure your maximum enjoyment of the duplex. So if there are no arrivals or departures on the same day individual requirements for check-in or check-out times can be discussed. Two sets of towels per person and one set of linen per bed is also provided. clean sheets and towels are provided on request Cleaning of the property is charged at €130. Please note that the daily rental price of the property includes a generous use of water and electricity (25KWh per day) which is more than sufficient provided that AC units are not used with open windows and that the AC units and lights are all switched off when you are not in the apartment. However if the inclusive amount of KWh will be exceeded, an extra charge will apply at a rate of 35c per KWh. Both electricity and water meters will be read on arrival and departure to calculate the usage. The rental price does not include the Environmental Contribution tax, introduced on June 2016 amounting to €0.50c per night up to a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay in the Maltese Islands. This applies for 18-year-olds and older. Other than the above there are no other hidden expenses or charges. A security deposit of €700,- is applicable for all bookings, and is dealt with directly through AirBnB. The burning of candles on the premises is permitted provided that they are burnt on the plates/bowls provided No guests other then those who have booked are allowed to stay/enjoy in the property. Parking on the street in Valletta is permitted in a white bay at all times, and in a blue bay between 6am and 6pm. Green bays are for residents only.
