Bogor is known for its history, its central position in agriculture researches, its unique climate and culinary. It hosts Istana Bogor, a palace built by the Dutch in 1744. Next to the palace is Kebun Raya Bogor, the “central park of Bogor”, built by the famous british statesman Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. For people who live in Jakarta, Bogor is the most favourite destination for weekend. You can take your children to see wild life in Taman Safari Indonesia which is only 40 minutes driving from the property. Or, if you want a bit challenging adventure you could go for trekking in Mount Gede-Pangrango National Park. It takes 6-7 hours to climb Mount Gede from the base to the crater.
