Guest house in Lévignacq
Description
A traditional style old stables building in the middle of the Landes pine tree forest converted into a beautiful country house furbished with antiques and curios gathered from all around the world. Atlantic Ocean beach is only 18-km away. The space My husband Yves and I have refurbished all the old buildings on this traditional farm in the middle of the Landes pine tree forest. You will be lodged in the old stables, now transformed in a country house where we have spent all our Summers in the past 30 years. The house is furnished with antiques and curios that we have gathered from all around the world. The kitchen is fully equipped. Guest access You will have the stable house to yourself. We live in the main farm house just opposite the yard. Our children and friends sometimes come visit and stay in the other refurbished buildings on the farm. The entire yard is open to all. There is a quarter-size antique grand piano in the dining room. Please take extra care of it. You are welcome to use it if you know how to play. It is in decent tuning state but might not be at perfect pitch if you're planning to do chamber music with other instruments. You will also be able to use the grassy area behind the house and can use the outdoor furniture. Just be aware that we might pass by on our way to the vegetable patch or to our car. You will have shared access to the 12m-long, temperature-controlled (28°C) swimming pool. Use of the washing machine and other facilities on the premises upon request. Other things to note The location is very isolated. There is internet access and mobile phone access but they are rather patchy and sometimes overloaded, especially during the Summer with all the tourists around. Best to come prepared for a "disconnected" stay.
